First plant look ready to me. I harvested yesterday and remained with 1xShort Rider and two indicas.
Here some pics :

I'm happy with the results for this. My first harvest ever, yey!
Used a 400w MH most of the time. Right now I'm using a 600w HPS lamp.

My second Short Rider. I think I will get ~1 jar per plant. Amazing plant! Done with two plants, two more to go :)

PS: The first crop filled a jar. It is well dried and cured, smell nice. This fresh crop also smell very nice ( fruity ).
The smoke from the first plant is good, gives a strong buzz and after that you're relaxed ( stoned ). It's funny that it will alter your perception a bit. Movies are funny after a joint :) It was my first real weed-smoke experience with good stuff.

Forgot to mention! This second plant it's 113 days old from seed. ~20 older than the first plant. Funny, because the start date is the same :)

Looking good buddy.. I am also curious to see how your havest ended up (dry weight). I've got a journal going now for my first auto-flower grow. I've done other plants, but no autos. When did your Short Riders start showing pre-flower? I noticed some pistils on one of mine this morning, and she's only 20 days old. The other one is 23 days old and she's not showing much - but I can tell where the bud sites are barely forming.

Looking damn fucking good man, give us an update on the taste, buzz type and your dry yield if possible :P, and next time use a bigger pot bro you can have a bigger yield with that, btw very good looking plant mate =)

Thanks! I noticed white hairs after the same period. You can check my journal and see some accurate info.I got almost 3 jars of dry weed from the two plants.

Dry yield fills about 3 jars. The second plant gave more/bigger buds than the first one.
The smell/taste is awesome, fruity & soft. The smoke is nice. The buzz is short and then you'll get a long body stone.

When I took off the soil from the pots I noticed that the roots didn't feel for a larger pot. The Short Rider stem is very tiny almost too fragile for the heavy buds so the overall plant is tiny. The buds compared to the plant size are huge.

For the new growers I highly recommend this auto strain. Fast results! My other two Indicas still flower and still need another month to finish :(

Hey buddy, if u get a minute come check out my journal. I am just curious how tall your Short Ryders ended up? I was planning on mine being really short, and that was a mistake. Guessing I just got a different phenotype or something. they are healthy as can be, about 40 days old or so, and definitely flowering on 18/6 schedule.. It's just weird how tall they're getting. I've seen others that were barely a hand tall. Can't wait to see how they end up. I know it's late but I subbed to this in case updates come

I put my 2xAutos with other 2 indicas under CFLs for some weeks. After that I switched to MH even if the autos started flowering. I kept on 16/8 schedule since the other 2 plants needed the light for vegging.
The short riders end up being ~80cm which is aprox ~30 inches. I didn't trimmed the plant at all so the ladies growed naturally.
This was my first grow and I can tell you that leaving sometimes for the plants to grow like being in the wild helps. Too much attention bring troubles I think :)

Good luck with your ladies. Give them plenty of light and don't overwater/overfeed them :)

I've ran this strain about 5 times. Usually they are about 20 to 24 inches tall. I've never auto flowered them though. I tossed them in with my normal strains and they flowered. 12/12. Over the winter I ran 2 under a 600whps and I only could pull an oz per plant. They just don't yield a lot. My other strains in the same room gave me 2+ oz per plant. The SR smokes great and I would reccomend it for sleep issues. It's stinky as hell and covered in frostyness. Defiantly need a carbon filter for this strain. For a first timer in soil it's an easy grow. I did them in soil and coco and never had any issues. They usually finish about 65 days from when I flip to 12/12. I let one go 70 days one time and the buzz was like ambien. Snooze every time I blazed it.

I'm not a heavy smoker and I can't give a good smoke report but you did it well :) My two plants were 113 & 94 days old. Maybe because I used only MH on them?

Thanks for the info... Great to hear others opinions on the strain I'm growing. I'm on about day 40 under 250 HPS 18/6, and my taller girl is 3'6" tall. She's not stretchy though. Once the buds fill out I don't see any reason I couldn't pull an OZ or maybe 2.

To you guys who have grown this before - I have a couple more questions (sorry to hijack the thread). When did you start to notice heavy trichome development? When did the "stretch" stop? My S.R.s are in 3 gallon pots, Happy Frog soil, Fox Farm Nutes, 250 watt HPS. They started showing pistils around 20 days after germination. Now, at around day 45, I've got some decent buds that are starting to "fill out" but none of them really have any trichomes developing. On top of that, they are still growing approximately 1" every day or two. A local "expert" suggested cutting back the light cycle to either 14/10 or 12/12 just to try and stop the stretch - do you think that would help? I just want her to focus entirely on making buds instead of more vegetative growth. Everything else looks great - they're extremely healthy and vigorous. They are approximately 40" tall now.
