Maybe some sort of cheap inline temp sensor after each light to make sure the two 600 are being cooled properly, my thought is hot air is not doing anyone any good

The design was changed so that an 8" split into a Y was pushing air through the 4 hoods and a 6" was used to pull the air from the 4 hoods to the exhaust. Temps would stay around 80F. Currently changing light schedule to help with heat issues (lights on at night vs. day) The OP design was flawed, too much hot air, you are right. with the new design, those concerns are a non issue, see below:

temps are hypothetically becoming an issue in this warmer weather. I would put in a A/C unit downstairs and see how that goes. I would then post the results 24 hours later.

Today's hypothetical goal was to get the wiring in order for the entire basement, here's what came out of it:

20120619_174413.jpg

I would of had to run a dedicated circuit for the air conditioner b/c of issues with running the laundry machines (girlfriend would NOT of been happy this morning when the circuits blew and left her soggy clothing already late for work!). It's nice being able to do the laundry whenever you want, ah the simple things.

I would of ran another dedicated circuit for the two 600 ballasts and 8" inline and two more circuits for each 1000 watter and 6" inline.

I've calculated that all the equipment would pull about 40 amps when everything is running during the night... Can't wait for this month's hypothetical electric bill ><

Any hypothetical thoughts on improving this hypothetical setup?

Tentative plant schedule:

Group 1: Clone cutting stage (not rooted) - 1st week
Group 2: Clone transplant to Dixie cup (rooted in rockwool/foam) - 2nd week
Group 3: Clone transplanted to 2 Gallon smart pots, Vegetative - 3rd and 4th week
Group 4: 1st & 2nd week of flower under 1000 Watt HPS - 5th & 6th week
Group 5: 3rd & 4th week of flower under 600 Watt HPS - 7th & 8th week
Group 6: 5th & 6th week of flower under 1000 Watt HPS - 9th & 10th week
Group 7: 7th & 8th week of flower under 600 Watt HPS - 11 & 12th week

Each group consists of 16 plants in 2 gallon smart pots. Expecting 1lb./2 weeks. I have 6 patients (Veterans from Iraq like myself) for a total maximum allowed count of 96 plants. I do not want to go over 99 plants so this will be it for me, no more new patients which is fine.

With 7 groups of 16 I would need 112 plants... oh fuck back to the drawing board... gah... any suggestions on how to attain 1 lb./2 weeks with my setup? It's probably a ratio game and the answer isn't immediately obvious... maybe it's because I'm medicating right now lol
Please take a look at my thread *A few pics* My setup uses 160 plants when fully running. its still a work in progress but may provide you with some thoughts.

get a sentinel relay switch and run 240v dual digital dimmable ballasts. get a sentinel controller chhc-4 with a power expansion module for an ac. much less wiring hassle. then you can control your environment with your sentinel controller.

im running 4 600watt hps. 2 240v ballasts hooked to a sentinel relay switch which is directly wired to the electrical box. easy to do. just waiting on my mini splitter ac. good thing i got the dimmable cause i have to turn down to 300w in this heat until my ac comes in.

I can't be posting anything. even though this is just a hypothetical grow for entertainment purposes only, it is a foolish endeavor to be talking about such things on a website known to have cops on it.
