I was wondering how it would play out if a person was popped by the feds for a personal grow, say the local cop was a dick and knows you have a grow and knows you are a hunter so he turns you over for having firearms.

I don't think any of my guns are registered in my name, all shotguns and hunting rifles 'cept for my wifes 9. SO could a guy just say, "those are my wifes hunting rifles"?


Just a stupid thought I was having after the hunting license thread..

Even if they are locked away, with your wife the only one with the codes... highly unlikely you'd emerge unscathed. Whenever drugs are found, they tend to treat everyone in the housing unit like they were in on it.

yes, being guns are also federally mandated and have countless rules in which to make you a criminal out of (even without cannabis in the picture) it would be a fucked up scenario imo.

But the 2nd amendment has ZERO Limitations to Who can have Firearms really. Just Citizens, So, per the 2nd amendment, imo, to remove your right to bare arms, they would need to prove your non citizen status first.

Our Constitution is very properly written.

I think they very well could fuck you over it but if it was just a small personal grow I am not so sure they would fuck with you over it.
Really it would come down to a couple of individuals that may be involved and could go either way.

Yeah, pretty much. Last I heard it was deemed illegal for any and all medical users even if they have a card. Something to do with the controled substance act that makes it a felony to have a gun during the possession of a schedule 1 "drug". :wall:

This happened to a buddy of mine 2 months ago. Cops came to his house an he let them in to show them his Legal grow. Cops seen some hunting shit, so they told him to be careful cause others police werent as lenient an gave him a warning!!!!! I wouldnt have believe it if I weren't there with my camera recording the whole thing. Shit was actually really cool the cops liked the smell of his strains an we bullshitted with them for proly 10 minutes.

Guns and weed can sometimes go together; but they aren't chocolate and peanut butter.

I think cops and guns are dangerous; but I also respect the 2nd Amendment right for citizens to bear arms.

If I had a vote on it I would make cops wear their body armor all day and leave the guns at the station.
They might become peace officers again if they had to - besides I don't want my medics armed.

Anybody notice this dual purpose leo and firemen/medics they are pushing on communities?

My point being it's a bad idea to force people with medical emergencies to work with cops instead of dedicated EMS.
A lot of junkies and shit will end up dying because they are afraid to call an ambulance.

Went through something similar to this. Belle had an old 20 gauge in a house that was completely in my name. Her brothers parole officer saw it and took it. As he was doing paperwork for her brother parole shit, he saw I had a prior felony from years before. 13 months later I was at work and ATF grabbed me. Still can't believe I went down for that shit. They said, it was your house, youre a felon, youre fucked. Yep, they were right. The violated him and charged me both with the same gun, he gets out of Peoria in January. Feds will not fuck with a grow, UNLESS they are positive you are way over 100 or they know there are drugs AND firearms.
Grey area when you are totally compliant with your grow and with guns. To be non-compliant and have a gun in the house could just be the worst thing possible.
I was charged 100% because I lived in the UP. Obviously ATF in Detroit would have never took my case to a grand jury. They do not pick and chose cases up here though, they take any and all.

Man I don't have any guns because I'm just not a gun person; but my friends with guns mostly for hunting are not going to shoot me and I know that.
Guns don't scare me - crooks and cops scare me.
Crooked cops scare me the most.

I think you can have guns, you just cant be high when shooting. it goes the same for drinkin. The atf form they sent out is the same one they had for decades. it says if you unlawfully use or are addicted to marihuana check this box. most people had their guns long before they got a pot card.

That's like tacking an armed robbery charge onto a speeding ticket though. lol. Scary scary shit. So is not having a gun. I would highly recommend anyone on this site w/ guns to pick up a gun safe if at all possible. It probably would have kept me out of prison. (Not having one would had avoided it also. lol) If anyone lives with a felon, a safe makes the difference. A $150 gun safe from Duhnam's is equivalent to a Cabela's $2000 gun safe in court.

You think they can violate my 2nd amendment right they are crazy, I would just keep it at home, even if I got my CCW, if they deny me I'll sue them, as per the MMMP act we cannot be denied any right.
