First off relax your over thinking this plant wayy to much. You remember in 1st grade how you plant the lima bean or sun flower and watched the sprout grow in the little cup? Well just keep your seedling under a light or window sill, then move your cfls closer. Saving those IS possible as long as new growth appears. These plants are extremely hardy an Ive seen a baby lose all its leaves to grasshoppers an bounce back through a 2 day storm.
