All you have to argue is whether or not the "tax penalty" which will be on your 1040 if you are liable for it, is a tax. 3 justices already agree it is a tax. Maybe Obama should pack in a few more Justices, take a page from FDR's book.

Obama said it wasn't a tax. Only 3? Out of 9, or out of all judges? You realize that nearly everyone will opt out and just pay the penalty. Then when they get sick or injured, they may run up 100's of thousands of $$$ before they can get insurance. They will be liable for those bills out of their own pockets. When they apply for the insurance, the rates will be astronomical because only the sick will be buying it. I'm talking 10 or 20 thousand a month! The government will try to mandate lower rates, but the insurance companies can not sell insurance at a huge loss. They will stop offering insurance. Hospitals and doctors won't get paid and will go out of business. Our current healthcare system will collapse. The government will institute a single payer system. They will mandate lower fees. The greatly reduced income to medical facilities will not induce students to spend 8 years in medical school for a middle income at best. They will be forced to ration healthcare because of costs and lack of facilities and personnel. Millions will die do to lack of medical care. Calling it a "tax penalty" is disingenuous. If you are behind in your child support, they take it out of your taxes. That doesn't make it a tax.
