oh thats why, i was talking about their other mediums when i was talking about buds tasting weird, i think organic choice has the least nute balls in it(i hope so) but the other mediums i got from them were fuckin packed with em, still dont know how my seedlings survived back then. the worms seem to break them down a bit, takes an extra month but about 70% of my compost is black kow so im probably good. im probably trying espoma this season if i make any soil purchases, have been interested in promix though. if i find that before espoma ill get it for sure.

Winter Woman turned me on to it, i showed her the inventory at my "local" shop and she picked it. a winner if you ask me. i don't think black kow is a bad choice at all if that's what you can get. mixed good with perlite or vermiculite as that dirt can get hard but i'm sure you know that

with my money situation and being a newbie and because of easy access i have been using miracle grow potting soil (SHAME ON ME) ....i know blah blah...like i said im a newbie, but i have heard alot of awful stuff about Miracle grow...my question is has anyone had to result to using it like me but had decent or great results?????? if so... some pics would be cool and some feedback....and if someone could explain to me why miracle grow is no good that would be cool too....also wanted to point out that this website has been a god send ....despite a few assholes everyone has been really cool as far as helping me and giving me feedback....much appreciated yall

I've used MG before, it was on my first solo indoor grow. I got a zip off a bag seed that turned out pretty well (I can't recall if my old thread had pics of it or not. It's here somewhere) Here's the secret though, you have to have had experience with the MG to use it succesfully with cannabis. I had pothos I grew out from 6" containers graduating it up 10" hanging containers that were lush green and 7 feet long. Half my neighbor hood took cuttings. My 2nd grow I switched to fox farms and had GREAT results with. If budget is of concern and you're within half hour drive of a few farms or greenhouse/nursery you can find comparably priced soil. I picked up some gardeners gold organic for $11.99 per 2 cubic feet. Alot of organic farms will also sell the soil that they make, I'll be checking into some for next spring for a run with some vegetables I have first. Hope any of this helped. Good Luck.!

getawaymountain uses just promix for the whole season and grows guerrilla(think he uses some seaweed extract and nutes in flower, dont recall specifics though), that kind of got me interested in it, probably gonna try it out after i run low on compost, is it cheaper than FF? ive been using happy frog for the last few years since they sell it at ACE but its still a bit pricey for gardening soil, even more expensive at the hydro store(pretty much everything is really).
and yeah, black kow will do pretty well when you use like 30-40% perlite and if composted for a few months, i think i added peat to my mix a while ago but ive just had one pile of compost building up for a year now, i never use all of it so i add onto it over time.

and yeah i think most ACE hardwares sell it, they actually have some useful shit there you probably cant find at home depot or lowes, i bought this nutrient called root and grow from them and it actually worked pretty good. ill PM you once i get back tomorrow or the day after, if i get baked and forget just send me one.

left em with some close fam who has a little bit of grow experience, left a piece of paper that said "dont fuck em up, thanks" on the front door of my room hahaha he said theyre fine though. i planted the bagseed gal in ground, we'll see if she made it but if i got a few beans off her so i should be seeing some interesting phenos(hopefully autos!) once i plant them. probably gonna put em in soil right when i get home.

nice, any idea on the strain? pm me the details, i dont wanna take over this guys thread. and yeah i got some to spare, i can throw you a couple bags of my compost, its pretty rich now so i just put a good handful(2 handfuls for the bigger ones) on my top soil then water, you dont gotta bring any soil id be glad to give you some, i got 2 piles going and plenty just sitting around my yard so its all good.

My first grow I used MG organic and it had so munch bark in it And Ph was wack but again first grow with FF nutes.....LOl could have my bad but bark is hard to deal with.

Now I just use a simple pro-mix ultimate organic with teas for flowering every week................2cupEWC...2cupalfalfameal....7tbs....(Hi-brix......< on ebay >....Fromthefarmonly)... 1tbs...microherd mix.

All in a 4.5 gal bucket with air bubbles for 24hr.........Will get PPM of 1000 with this mix with well water at 230ppm. I will up the mix half a cup when strains need it and keep Hi brix the same. All products can be bought at earl may or menards. USA

All products are cheap execpt Hi brix. But you can use store bought molasses and micro herd stuff cheap at mass lumber outlets.

I am currently growing in MG All Purp potting soil and have had great results so far, one thing that a good friend told me was, grow out your plants for a month with no ferts, then flush with distilled water, still no ferts- just bottled water for 2 weeks, or until flowering, then use flowering nutes ( my plants are all healthy and producing good nugs ) I'll post flowering pic's later today, but believe me you'll be ok.

my first grow was in miracle grow. just be careful how you water and you will be fine. you cant water until it runs through the bottom like people say to not with mg soil you cant or they will get burnt.

Is all BS. MiracleGro Potting Mix is an industry standard for me and many others. It isn't smart to spout off about stuff you don't know.

personally i dont mind mirical grow.. i am liking jungle growth though mixed with coco. reaally nice and airy. but ive definitely used mirical grow before and had great results, i actually have one in mirical grow now, i havent nuted it in 5 weeks.. just dont add nutrients with that shit til you see a need

I use the miracle grow organic for the gurilla grows cause its cheaper than buying a bunch of roots organic and other stuff lik. Fox farm. I dont smoke that shit i give it to my buddy and he sells it. I grow all my medicinal in Roots Organic i was using fox farm nutes the whole lineup even the powders for flower. Now all my growing will be done using subcools supersoil. My frist grow i used the MG moisture control put seedlings right in it and it worked the pot wasnt really that bad actually after using other stuff tho i wudnt use it again for my own use. The bud from the other soils tastes so much better and looks so much better. Its like this everything that goes into your plant during flowering can affect the natural taste. If you can grow it all naturally without adding any synthetic nutes your on to something and you will love it your bud will smel better and taste better. But its all a learning expierence so learn as much as you can from this grow and apply it to the next thats what i did and now i probably grow the best dank buds in the county.

All to their own, different strains and different conditions will always produce different results. i personally wouldn't use MG, i suggest Canna terra plus grow everyone i have seen that has tried it hasn't changed back to anything else

I think I know a litle about MG..ha..anyone remember that WSJ article that used my name? Google me you can read it. It DOES have time release pellets. The problem with time release pellets I found from a grower of woodie shrubs and trees is that it dumps all it's shit in temps above 90F. BIG PROBLEM.
I've used MG the blue powder but not their time release soil products. The last thing I want 6 weeks into flower is the CLAW. I/you need to control the amount of NPK during the last phase of the plants life. I'm interested to see how your grow turns out. And MG/Organic Choice is good stuff. It has chicken shit for N and lots of small, decomposing bits in it. I never tested it. Although I'm sure it's deficient in some minor elements that you can add yourself. Buy a bag of Azomite off amazon or Ebay. And it's heavy by itself so lighten it with Perlite. Okee Dokee?

IMO MG works great. the PH in the soil is lower and can give you problems , so what I do is adjust the PH to 7.8 and water my plants. then toward the end I lower the PH to about 6.5-6.8

I read the book "buds for less" and I got my information from there and I grow great big nugs. (well to me at least) the main cola will weigh about 15grams when its done. and I grow from seed to harvest in about 65days. and I grow with CFL.
