Yea 3 reasons i said run 400w for 3 weeks
Flowers dont start really forming until around the 4th week mark then they start taking up and exploding in buds.
Cheaper on power 200w less

I run my dimmable 600w ballast on 50percent whitch is 300watts for the first 3 weeks then switch to the 600w after that
and see no increase in flower time or decrease in weight but to each their own

I am only offering debate on this subject (no right or wrong) but shurely if a 400 will help in veg x (times) size of plant. Then it would be the same for flower? Why change to a 600 if its not needed.

What I'm trying to say I think is...the plant in veg puts all its energy into tips, leaves and root growth. In flower it stops leaf and root growth and works on bud/flower. At the light change (12/12) your MAXIMUM light vs grow room and plant size allowance should be utilized if not prior.

With that said I should be running a 400 according to my analogy. But I believe my plants will benifit from more light at a better/even temperature (600w). I have a light meter and on a sunny day it reads around 80,000 to 99,999 (the max reading) LUX. In my grow room (i just checked) I have 60,000 at the centre running out to 40,000 at the plant edges. At the current light height at the edge of the grow box I have 18,000.

I would keep your 600 9 inchs from the canopy

The last 3 pics are after a training session then water/nutes

Things are looking good. Nutes are at 1400 now, leaf colour was getting lighter in so went from 1100 to 1400 over 2 feeds (I water every second day, nutes every water).

Going to take clones some time this weekend early next week and trim all excess foliage under the canopy. Today is the start of 2nd week 12/12

Unfortunately 9 inches is a little too hot with my current set up. I had em at 12 earlier in the grow and I had a bit of leaf curl due to heat. Raising the light fixed the prob. Plus 9 inches would not shine light to the extremities.

Hey mate, im sub'd to see the final results you get. Im also using a 600 to grow 2 plants but in a small space. Im most interested to see how much room yours take up. +rep for continuing the grow man :)

Cheers. Good luck with your grow, be carefull of heat though if the room is much smaller than mine. My temps are great at the mo 26C (outside temp 6-16C) but I'm sure things will heat up in the summer.

Cheers for the heads up mate. Im hoping because its winter where i am the air cooling the light will help keep the room fairly cool. We're getting minus 7degrees celcius at the moment.
Was it easy enough shaping your wire for the screen? Im thinking of doing something similar as im liking the way yours are looking :

Minus 7, wow thats cold!! I'm sure if you can extract airfrom the outside through your cool tube you should be fine.

Was real easy with the screen, just bought a roll of plastic mesh fencing and cut it to size. Was about $16. Not sure if the product is available where you live. Real common here.

Actually, could be described as trellis I guess. It's in the gardening section at a hardware retailer or something like.

Looking back on the timeline I would say 3 weeks, realise now I could have done with a week or 2 more and also raise the net a few inches for the extra growth. Cheers for callin by. By the way congrats on the personal best grow. That is impressive, obviously a well organised and thought out grow :bigjoint:

The AK looks a little light in colour for me (top/new fan leaves), so I've raised my solution to 1680 for them only. I'll keep an eye on them to see if they get darker or whether they need something Im not giving them.

The G13 could maybe handle a little more but definately looks a lot darker than the AK so I'm gonna play it safe and leave it at 1400.

Going to introduce the flower ferts at 1/4 dose along with the veg at 3/4 next water (2 days) Then half and half and so on. Keeping the ppm level.

Thanks mate. It is good to have a win every now and again. Grow before that got mauled by spider mites:-( Your grow is coming along nicely. Wouldnt mind trying the AK for myself. I grow mine for 4 weeks 18/6 and flower around 8-9 weeks depending on strain. Here are a couple pics of my girls

Fantastic looking grow my man. Even the local prostitute would be proud of that bush!! I would say 'dense growth' is an understatement. I once had white rhino, unfortunately I never got to see the grow to the end, bit of a police scare at the time, had to rip the whole grow out 5 weeks before end.

Forgot to mention the 3 weeks of veg were at 24/24, the 4 days prior to flower I lowered the light cycle in increments (cant spell).

I presume your plants were free standing, no scrog? I am really interested to see if I get a similar yeild to my last grow using the scrog method. At this stage I have mixed feelings on the process. We shall see, as long as I don't kill them while I'm away for 3 weeks it should be a decent comparison.

Really glad to have you along chipper, please feel free to add a sugestion or two if you feel inclined. :leaf:

You wont recognizes them after three weeks away! You wont have a problem watering them if you are plumbed into a large enough reservoir, set on a timer. I would be more worried about plant growing into light. So sad hearing about the early death of your White Rhino, fucking arseholes!

I dont think i will get the same of the rhino, just hoping for a killer smoke from her!:bigjoint: My unknowns(I call them Karragullen Cross) may go close i think:-P They are looking good. It is a yes to SCROG, similar stuff to what your using. Only 1 screen should of put a 2nd in really. Always next time.

Mate that is some crazy growth for only 3 weeks worth of veg! I'll have some serious room issues if i veg for that long. Yours are looking real nice too though mate, very impressed :)
