Led burntout

So on the 135w blackstar model from gotham I had a diod completely burn out turn a different color and melt the plastic around it, and also burned the plastic proecting all the little diodes. Got it april thos year so hopefully its still covered, if not oh well.

Has anyone else have similar experiences?
 
What Chronikool said. Check that link. It is a known problem but it's the first I'm hearing a 135w having the problem. (Or I forgot)
 
Ill look when on computer but so far they havnt emailed me back. Sadly I dont think they will cover. So I night just use it as an experiment with 1 auto. See how it goes.

You bought it in April from Gotham Hydro. It is under warranty for one year. If for some reason you cannot get in touch with the guys at Gotham you can contact the manufacturer, Lighthouse Hydro. I just got done going through this same exact warranty issue with a different distributor.

I called Lighthouse, explained the situation to them and they're taking care of it.
 
Mthey emailed me back and said to just send them the unit. Nothing else.? So I emailed them back how do I kbow I wil" get it back? If not it fixed a new one completely is what they aaid. Hust doesnt seem right.

Call them up. Being anti social is nice and all, I'm great at it, But sometimes you just need to talk to someone.:lol:

They should issue you a RMA# or explain the return process or something.
 
yeah they said they have info on file and just to send it back and if i want to puit a note inside witha numebr on it. ill send out friday once i get a box and some protectuiong for the box.

Sounds good. That is pretty much what Lighthouse told me as well.

I actually saved my original box with the packing so I'm just going to box it today and ship it out in that.
