What is wrong with these lower leaves?

Hey my plant is getting a little larger but the leaves at the bottom are turning yellow. What could possibly be the problem with them? I begun to use a tiny amount of Fox Farm Big Grow fertilizer with my every other day watering. Using t5s. FF ocean forest. Using water from my sink run through a water purifier. Could this be putting in too much salts or fluoride or nah?

The tips of many of the leaves are curling downward. What does this mean?
Could it be too hot? May the PH be a bad level? I have a lousy PH meter so I really am just going visually here.

Here are two leaves I snipped off that looked very unhealthy.

if the leaves are curling down its usually overfert but since your plant looks like it needs nitrogen bad, the leaves drooping downward is overwatering...give them a full dose of ff grow big but you need to get a ph droplet kit they are very accurate. that water is ok but RO is best. just mix a full dose soultion of ff grow big, adjust ph to 6.5 to 7 and make sure you have 10 percent runoff with each watering

Thanks! But wait did you contradict yourself? You said it's over watered and also said it could be over fertilized.. but then you said to water it and to use a full dosage.

It's PUR which is like the same thing as brita. How do most people water their stuff? Should I not use the filtered water and just use straight from the faucet instead?

My best advice to you is to lose the t5 get a 1000 watt hps, i meant to say when im diagnosing my plants and the leaves are dark green and ram horning(curling under) its usually overfert. But since your plant is yellowing from the bottom up its either a deficiency or a lockout plus overwatering... you cant overwater if you add a shitload of perlite which provides a ton of aiflow in the rootzone(like hydro). You can judge how much water your plant is using and or needs by lifting the pot to feel its weight. the lighter it is the more water it needs, let your plants air out and water every few days depending on your pot size. The t5 dosent produce as much light so its easy to overwater your plants. the more light you have,(7500 to 10000 lumens per sq foot)the more your plants will grow, in turn drinking more water. i was trying to say since you have no accurate ph reading capabilities you should just start fresh by flushing your plants with ph balanced nutrient rich solution then wait till pots air out and you should see a difference by then. hope this helps...

i ALWAYS use Reverse osmosis water or distilled water. You can buy a RO machine cheap for like 100 bucks and itl fit under your sink PUR is NOT PURE and brita blows! lol RO or distilled water is pure and clean with a stable PH. People love smoking quality but never want to give their plants quality...

If I used distilled water, all I need to do is put the grow big fert in it? I thought tap water had some micro nutrients I needed. But I can just use distilled water and FF grow big ?

just use ro water and fuck all the bullshit... man im so tired of people trying to grow half ass and then wondering why they have problems, and airy buds. Its easy just take out all the variables. You got shit water fix it, your room too hot get ac,not enough light get more! Look people if you want to waste your time growing shitty bud then be my guest but if your going to do something do it right!!! If you aint got the funds, DONT GROW! wait till you got the funds, have a game plan and stick to it. Start with watts or lumens per sq foot. then get good soil, add perlite and dolomite lime. Use a good one part organic fert thats ph buffered(fox farm or advanced nutes etc...)keep temp 75 and humidity 40 to 50 percent.Pay attention to the details, pay attention to your plants, and they will tell you what they need. And when you get wise enough to give it to them, you will be rewarded tremendously! Im not trying to be a dick, im just trying to save you alot of time, effort, and money! Heres some pics of my current scrog!

Cool man thanks for all the advice it's definitely the right advice for someone who's serious about it. I'm not buying a reverse osmosis machine. I'm a hobbyist and I've already dropped more than enough money into this hobby for now so I'd really just like to know if distilled water with Fox farm fertilizer in it will work properly. Thanks.

As the plant gets bigger its going to put less energy toward the bottom leaves because theyll become less important to the plant, you can just cut those off and the plant will use the energy it was giving them on the tops and such
