But that is what the US law system is based off of, fact. If you don't like that then get the law system change. But until then don't expect someone to feel sorry for someone who breaks the law. I don't agree with it either Kaender, but what i'm saying is sometimes you have to respect other peoples thinking as well. especially when it is justified with the same law system you are forced to abide.

I'd say that people being sent to jail for years just for smoking pot, deserve sympathy. Another person would say, "well by smoking pot illegally, they are adding fuel to the drug war".
I smoke pot illegally, so I "feel" for the man who got in trouble over the law. I believe that law is immoral. But then man who said that he is just adding fuel to the fire, believes the law is moral.

So maybe you guys think that the law is moral and people should respect it, but I have a different view on it. A view that is just my opinion .

In my scenario, the guy saying that the man was adding fuel to the drug war by smoking pot was right. His opinion is fine.. respectable because it's true. I still think it's immoral though.

Same with WW. She says alot of our money goes to illegal immigrants who sit on their ass all day. It's true and respectable. But I believe sending everybody back is immoral. I see her view and I disagree with it. I guess you could say that is disrespectful.

But here's the thing, Heph. You assumed an intention by WW where I would have seen something different. Unless you're dealing with confirmed things, perspective can be very tricky. I see you meeting an insult that more than likely wasn't offered the way you perceived, with one that is undeniable. You had the choice of taking a higher road.

Am I not allowed to say what I think is wrong without it being in grudge form simply because we have had a negative encounter in the past?

And I didn't mention my dad, you did. If I had a grudge on her for her saying my dad belongs in jail, wouldn't I have mentioned that in this thread?

I am not talking about hard-working people, Heph. Neither was WW ... correct me if I'm wrong! It's a matter of emphasis. One can take no valid legal action based on hard work or lack thereof. One can based on legal resident status. I think it's best if we focus on the technical matters at hand. They can fruitfully be debated, while the emotional ones are a general-duty tar baby.
