Need some help , anyone with any knowledge on cloning ....

I topped a couple plants on Tues and decided that it would be worth it to try and stick the tops in some clone x and root riot to see if they would grow. Initially I had them so they werent getting enough fresh air and the leaves got all wilted. I opened things up a bit and let the air flow and left them be . Today when I looked at them all of the old/original leaves were dead but 1 if the clones has 2 little new leaves, and the other ones stem is still nice and green and it looks like there is some new growth popping up a little on that one too. I am just wondering if it's even possible that they might be okay, or since all the original leaves have died, they just are not gonna make it ? Also about how long will it take before I start to see roots if they are going to root ? Thanks any and all advice is greatly appreciated .

it is a question of how easy it will be for it to get back on its feet

clones can takeawhile to root, try not to keep them cool i find a towl over a heating pad works pretty good.

are you rooting in soil or aerocloners or what? in soil it takes forever. the best system uses a fine mist of water...with no hormone...the light turned down by 60% and cooler temps by 5-10 degrees. it's the oxygenated water that does it. the mix of O2 and H2O. more air=faster roots. period. if u need more details ther is a dude i saved his thred i think...on how to make your own aerocloner for $20 bucks. a deal for sure...roots in as few as 4 days. i've done it but a week to two is normal for me.

I am using root riot cubes and also clone x....... I'm just keeping them moist with distilled water, and making sure they stay warm . I also made sure that they have air flowing through every couple of hours !!

Okay good to know. I have a kinda ghetto setup right now , I just have them in a bucket with rocks/pebbles in the bottom. I stuck the clones in root riot cubes covered the bucket with Saran Wrap but cut some holes to ventilate and I have them in my grow area but not in the direct lights... I know its kinda ghetto but its what I can afford right now. I wasnt really planning on cloning, but figures why waste the tops.... SO far it been 4 days and they actually look pretty damn good !!! I will take pics tomorrow and post !

A dome of sorts . I have the in a bucket with pebbles and water in the botttom. The clones are in root riot cubes and I covered the bucket with Saran wrap.. I cut a few holes to ventilate. I also open them up to breathe even better ever few hours ! So far they look like they might make it, 1 of them has new leaves starting to grow which seems like a good sign to me ?

Being patient is sometimes the hardest part LOL ! Okay I was a little worried cause I dont have any high tech cloning equipment/dome and I rigged up what I thought was a pretty good liltte cloning spot, but being as this is all new to me I just am never sure if I did a good thing or not. I will take a few pics tomorrow, I try not to mess with them too much !! But I will show u a couple pics so you can see what I have going !

I took a couple of pictures of the 2 clones/tops that I have . They look like there not gonna make it to me ??? But the one has that new leaf and the other has a good green thick stem so maybe ?? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated !
