Have any of you ever spent any time around Muslims? They are some of the most peaceful and respectful people that I know. A married man wont even shake another womans hand. Do none of you realize that Islam is one of the biggest religions in the world, and that the terrorist extremist sects probably make up only 2% of its followers, even tho the media portrays it in another way...

Some of us don't care. Anyone who follows a book that requires violence against non-believers are savages. It's time for our generation to kill god.

Yes, and I bear Muslims no ill will. Nonetheless I consider all the Abrahamic religions to be ... not what the present themselves to be. cn

I wont go in the houses of my friends if they aren't home but their wives/girlfriends/partners are... I don't agree with women kissing men on the cheek when they are in a relationship, same goes for men kissing other women (Family Excluded of course... I'm not that crazy...) I don't even like other women touching me in a familiar way when I have a girlfriend/partner/etc...

But I do think the hand shaking thing is taking things a little to far...

Exactly. Jews and Christians have their own extremists. It's just that the Muslims seem so much better coordinated (Action .... not couture).

And while it might be a violence to the language to call a rabble-rouser a terrorist, accessory to terrorism might stick when he does incite some extremist into unsporting action. cn

Weird, I've met a few Muslims and never had a bad experience with any.

To say you don't care and that they're savages just because it mentions something in their book is a little ignorant. People who believe in Christianity and read the bible doesn't mean they all gay people are an abomination.

You're right. Christians cherry pick from the bible. "Oh I have a gay kid. My kid will go to heaven still. And I also had sex before marriage. Oh well, I'll still go to heaven. Hell is scary. That's ok because I created a new interpretation of hell and now it just means grave. Yay".

The bible was written by bigots. The followers are fine (well some of them at least), the teachings are wrong though.

I wouldn't say all shit, the god part maybe not be true but the beliefs in some are good teachings, South Park said it best at the end of that Joseph Smith episode. I like Buddhist, don't know much about it but I do like the karma thing. It teaches mind over body and peace all the way thru (as far as I know). I dunno if man would even be as civilized as we are without religions, not saying all teach good morals but most teach to be kind to each other and I think that has evolved into what we think now. I certainly believe that someone made up the bible and whole heaven and hell thing to make kids behave better....I think I'm rambling lol, really drunk over here.

Because had I not read any of your posts, I'd think you were another sock account of a member whose decided to take it upon himself to become RIU's token troll mascot as of late, but most of your posts are pretty reasonable. To other members, it might send the wrong first impression.
