400wmh/hps grower!!! thread

Ok so I'm doing this thread because I would love too see mh/hps grows.
I am currently in the process of growing under those to bulbs. I have been vegging for about 1week and 3 days.. and I would love to see your guyses harvest/grows so post some pics up please and your methods and how long you begged for thanks.

Well, I will be using a 400 watt high pressure sodium for buds, but am vegging under 8 6500K 4' fluorescence. At any rate here are my plants at nine days.

I am using flora nutes by general hydroponics. I have a drip system that feeds my girls 3 times a day in one minute intervals. I keep my water @ 5.8. The average temp in my grow tent is 80f and humidity stays around 50%. I am growing Lemon Kush and 1 Northern Light Auto. I am wondering how long before the auto will start showing flowers? Thanks for the thread.

looking real nice doogey. how old are they...and thanks for the post i thought nobody was going to post here. this is my second grow and i would like to know everything about 400w growers. im going to try and post my pics up right now. but my computer has been tripping or somthing. +rep on the grow..looking forward to seeing it flower.

Ok here it goes. Grow room set up is 3ft wide 5ft length and 2ft deep!
It is a closet grow and my second grow. First time using 400w.
I am vegging under 400w/mh bulb and planning to veg for about a month.
Light system is 18/6. I have 5 plants under this mh bulb. Currently 2weeks into vegging.
On the 4thweek im planning to switch my lights from 18/6 to 14/10 i heard it helps it prepare for flowering dont know if its true or not but will give it a try? I will be flowering under a 400w/hps bulb. And looking forward to it temps are 80f-85f temps do change alot though idk if that could be a problem. Currently feeding tab water worked for my first grow should never had problems with it i water 1 time a day a real good water. To were the water comes out my drain holes. Everything here is homemade. Sorry. But i would love to see others peoples result on growing under 400w. To see what im in for super excited for this grow.
Here are some pics i have them in 2liter soda bottles cut in half planning to put them in diffrent pots today. Dont know what kind of soil im going to buy yet. Any advice and tips will be apprecieted thanks riu!!!

This is my first run with a this light, and I was not prepared for the amount of growth! They grown over 3 feet since the start of flowering 4 weeks ago. I started flowering at 8" and never expected them this tall. I have only one more foot of room available, so I hope they slow down.

Frankly, I have too many plants under there, lol. Since I'm looking for mothers, I just kept anything that was a lady from the 17 seeds I planted (2 of them fems). There are 10 plants squeezed in a 3x4 space-- probably resulting in the extra vertical growth I'm seeing. Once I select my mothers, I will run a SCRoG of six plants.

All the plants were topped down to the second node, then flowered after 10 days of recovery. I supper cropped into the second week of flower, but they just kept growing.

Nitegazer that looks outstanding. And thats really all I can say about that beings this is my first grow. How long did they veg to get 8"?? Peace!

Thanks Doogy. The aren't as compact as I would be used to, but they're all sativa dom's, so I'm not sure if it's being packed in, or if that's just their growth habit.

I veged for 5 weeks from sprout. After they had 5 (or six) full sets of leaves, I topped down to the second node, ala Uncle Ben's Topping Technique for 4 Colas. I was surprised at how quickly they recovered.

Hey thanks! MR.LITEGREEN. Any tips would be wonderful. I have the lights about 3 inches above plants. Do you know or is there a way to tell a auto flower from a regular plant? I do plan on posting pics and will post them here I guess.. Thanks for this thread once again. The reason I asked about the auto is that I got them mixed up and am not sure out of the five I have going which one is which. I do know that eventually that she will give me the answer on her own, it would be nice to know now though, LOL. I plan on going full strength nutes this Thursday for mild veg. Anyway , yes, any tips would certainly be beneficial for my grow and very much respected.

I use a 600w in a 4x4 tent these days, but you can pull decent harvests with a 400. I pulled just shy of 1/2 pound my first harvest under 400w HPS.

Amazing pj diaz how many plants are those. I currently have 5 under my 400w/mh im hoping to get atleast a pound but idk.what was your methods I have used any nutes yet since they are still yound but I am planning to use fox farm producrs. Grow big for veg and tiger bloom big bloom for flowering?

nitegazer: usually when you top it slows down growth and makes it bushier wierd that they kept growing how far away did you keep ur lights.

nitegazer: usually when you top it slows down growth and makes it bushier wierd that they kept growing how far away did you keep ur lights.

I keep the light close (pulled it up some for the picture). It can be cooled, but I am still dragging my feet over finishing the ventilation. Even without cooling, I can keep the plants a couple of inches from the reflector. Several of the plants have stayed a bit shorter, while others have really stretched-- so I'm tempted to think its either that I've over packed them or that they are just tall. Most have very good branching.

I have a bunch of strains I am sampling. Since I have to sex the plants, I can't scrog, but I can't wait to get back to scrogging. It's the best method for a 400w, imo (in terms of control of limited space and yeild).
