4 weeks into flowering just passed for the record. Today I was maneuvering around cleaning in my grow closet today & one of the light fixtures fell down & crushed one of the big main stalks on of my plants. I clipped it off but will the remaining other colas keep growing with the stalk off? I'm so mad right now guys. The broken stalk has allot of bud on it should I dry it out & cure it to give it a shot? I've never dried & cured before can someone tell me the best way to do it? I don't know what to do in this situation at all guys i'm pretty bummed I hope I can still carry out the remaining weeks of flowering with this plant so I don't have to clip it now... : (

you may as well dry and cure but dont expect anything good from 4 weeks flowering. the plant should be fine and recover. can you post a pic of the whole plant? i would like to see your buds at 4 weeks in.

lesson learned: make sure your lights are secure and be careful when working around the lights so they dont fall.

Theres THC crusted everywhere man. I don't expect it to be as powerful as it will be when that 9th week comes along but it'll do it's justice for sure each top is just CAKED in thrichomes! I haven't cured by myself before so im unsure of which way to do it. Lemme know something curing guys

I'm pretty sure drying you just let hang in the open air for a couple of days, but without a fan blowing on it. And then curing I believe is just leaving them in jars another couple days but they need to be dried to the point where the buds will break off of the stem without little effort, that's how you know that it is ready.

It's a shame you snipped the stock. With a little splint action you could have finished it.

Dry it to where it feels crispy on the outside but the stem doesn't snap. then jar in air tight jar. Within 1/2 a day the bud will feel moist again, open the jar for awhile then seal, some do short burbs daily or more, I like to leave open for several hrs then seal again for several days. I like to try and shoot for 4wks after cut to final product. Look at it this way you can practice a cure before your final harvest.
