get that coarbon filter out mate u loose 20% efficiany (cooling) u dont need that till late flowering

and did u get dual spec hps bulb for flower or what?? i take it not if ur using mh for veg and hps for flower,,,,switchable blaast i take it?

great point bout the carbon filter this man knows what hes talking bout..

his system is backwards he is not sucking air into filter he is blowing hot air from cooltube into filter then into grow room

i been trying to tell u how to make it work would u listen if i pm u the other advice except to get rid of filter is from guys that dont understand what your setup is right now

So heres a update on moving somethings around and adding ventilation hole at bottom with Fan. Mind you i will be buying clip on fans for all around inside the tent. Let me know if this is fine for veg and flowering or what Exactly should i Do. I JUST WANNA START GERM ALREADY AND GET THE LADIES IN THE TENT ALREADY! but i wont until i have this right so i know my plants are ready for the Grow TEnt !

and just start them seeds .. it will take a few days for them to sproud ..

but looking good .. finaly you got the ventilation turnd around/right (guess that was the reason why some Ppl. got realy confused by your set up)

so yea hot air is getting sug out .. that is how its surpose to be .. tent/fysic will take care of the rest .. it will take in the air your ventilation pulls out ..

so no need for the fan out ther .. realy .. use it in the tent insted (maybe pointet at your HPS to cool it down even more and remove hot air from your plant tops)

just a suggestion tho .. dont want to confuse you even more .. as it do look ok now ..


but if it was me .. I would do two things now

1.) I would remove the fan bloweing at the intake and put it in the tent insted ..

2.) take the left over tube (if you got enough ?) and leave it at the intake .. loose .. and runn it down the floore to your window ..

like your out take ventilation .. but this will just be a tubeing .. no real biggy as your window is so close to your intake so it will get plenty of fresh air but why not let it sug air in from the outside .. now you got the window open anyway .. maybe have the tubeings and the window is so close to your intake ..

I did it .. I even got a littel cheap bathroom ventilation (100M3/hr) to help it pull even more fresh air in to my passiv intake ..

but no need .. your set up will work Im sure .. I just did this over time .. as I had high temps like you (wish it was me who had that cool tube )

fist I made a line of tubeing from my passiv intake hole I have near my floor to my intake over my window to provide fresh air and even more cold air ..

did help me get temps down a few .. but I wantet more .. so got that small ventilation and plug it in to the tubeing (so it pulls air in from the outside)

and it help me provide even more fresh air ..

tho it is`t enough .. I need to keep another hole next to that half open or my negativ presure in my grow room would be to much ..

yea I like to know that to... what was your temps before and what are they now ..

and what are they if you take off the tubeing from the filter ?

my Temps is as follow:

24C in my room .. so with the HPS inside my grow grow room it becomes realy hot ... around 35C ..
(I got around 4M/3 grow room .. 1/3 of my hole room)


when I turn on my vent I can get it down on 30-32C or so ...

with the intake tubeing from the outside (22C out side) I can get it down under 30C most of the time ..

right now we have hot days .. so I have 28C in my appartment .. so +32 at the end of my 12/12 in my grow room .. even tho I runn it at night ..

plant dont seems to mind tho .. but use a lot of water .. 2-3 gallon evry seccon day in my 7 gallon pots ..
thanks God this is about how hot it will get .. from now on it will only get better .. unless global warming speeds up a lot

Thanks guys for all your help in hints! very appreciated! ,, as far as the temps before was over 80. now with the new setup im around 78 . if i see it get over 80 then ill invest in that bathroom fan . maybe for now just put tubing come out one of the vent holes and hitting the window . as far as the fan in the back you think i should take it out? cause without it the tent is being squeezed shut with the outtake blowing the air out. when i put the fan in the back it lets the tent be a little looser then squeezed tight. as far as fans inside. im going to get clip on fans for each corner of the tent ... Now question about germin and planting, can i use distilled water and u said water them with a gallon or 2 every 2 days? and i have nuets as well should i wait after the first week to start using them ? and should i be fine starting them off in a 3 gallon bucket then later on transferring them to a 5 gallon ?

the squeezing is neg pressure thats good so ditch fan for now
and take filter off and no u dont have to put anything in its place just have a open duct
and then tell me what temp is

if u mean a gallon of water per plant thats to much and dont water just by how many days since last time
u pick up pot and if it feels light u water u want to wait till soil drys out to water
no nutes for 3 weeks


3 gallon bucket is fine to start with then move to 5 gall
it is better to repot then start in the 5 gallon

yes leave flap open
wait to use filter till they start to smell
no need for distilled u can use tap water just let it sit out 24 hrs with cap off
seedling wont need nutes they will get burned
wait awhile for that

and when u take filter off wait a hr then tell what temps are
and im sure when u take fan out of back temps will go down also

yea .. leave the flaps open .. you schould maybe read a littel about air movement and ventilations systems and get a general/basic picture of it ..

when your ventilation pulls air out .. it pure Physics .. it will replace it ..from any open flap or tube or hole ..

room cant be "air less" or your tent would be completly pulld in ..

so open enough flaps .. so you just keep a littel bit of negativ presure (tent is pulld in ½ a inch)

you want this .. since when you have negativ presure it will pull air in if your tent is`t totaly air tight .. if you have possitiv presure it will blow smelly air out them holes ..

beside my tube to the out side I also have a passiv opening to keep presure just right ..

a rull of tump .. your passiv intake need to be 2x the size of your ventilation .. etc. 6" = 12" unless you also have a ventilation help pulling air in ..
experiment a littel ..

but fan out side will do much more good inside ..

the Hepa filter is important if you want to keep out bugs and possible pollen from an unkown male/hermaph that a neighbor may have in the backyard.

before u make vent hole bigger see what temps are may not need to make bigger
does the intake vent have some kind of screening to keep out bugs
if not place a pair of panty hose on end of duct u running from intake flap to window place it on end by window
a filter will cut down air flow
and rest sounds good

yep ..panty hose will do just fine .. I use some 200 My stainless netting .. from work .. also use it to make Kif/shake ..

Edit: you wont belive what it catch .. so remeber to wash/replace it often (once a month)
I was about to remove mine for more air flow .. but erm .. changes my mind and wash and fittet agin .. actualy gave me more air flow !
