Ok for what? Growing pot? No, not really. What IS that? Why are there bars on it, is it a bug zapper?

it's a mosquito killer, kinda violet type of light, it just looks blue from the picture.

is it ok for growing pot like for vegging and flowering?

My bad. I mean yes then. You could probably veg a 4x4 area with that light, and use it to flower for about a pound per watt, giving you about 20 lbs in a 4x4 area with 20 watts.

sir metsynth,

can i really use this for vegging and flowering? if there is a mosquito, will the mosquito die and go directly through my plants?

In all seriousness, to get us back on topic, DO NOT use your bug zapper to grow your plant. I would use a minimum of 4 23 or 26 watt(100watt equiv) to grow your plants. for a quick and easy DIY build, go to DO IT center or HOME DEPOT or LOWES or OSH
BUY THIS http://www.toolking.com/leviton-l20-55-black-rubber-outdoor-lamp-socket?CAWELAID=1410668819&cagpspn=pla&gclid=CK_crJPWhLECFQhahwod0ExdmA
from the store and get 3 of these
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ATG0JU/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B002WDBLM4&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1JNC0K676JRZQ7THPQV6

With this you will be able to run 4 100wequiv CFL's and be able to get a good grow going for starters.
WHILE at these stores (do it center is having a sale, along with the salvation army where u can get 2 CFL bulbs for your house, NOT YOUR GROWBOX, for 89cents. I suggest replacing 7 bulbs in your house with these. Then you electric bill should go down, not up, during ur growing duration. Im trashed so if non of that made sense, send me a pm or just reply. do yo thingggg icebox

I don't think it has enough power to really grow a plant to be honest. I'm not very experienced but from what I've been reading you need around 100 watts for a single plant.

no sir, i do not know much about lightings and im kinda short of budget that is why i look for any kind of unused light in my house.
+rep for giving it all you can.

Lights are one piece of a grow that can not be skimped on. sure some setups are
more costly than others but you will have to provide the correct spectrum for your hopes to bloom.
