I take it back, then. Unliked.Thank you Kuroi... I believe you're the only one who liked my comment that actually knows what I look like...
Think again .Thank you Kuroi... I believe you're the only one who liked my comment that actually knows what I look like...
Wow, so wrong. Under 18, and your ass is in the shit. You don't have to even know she was under 18. My buddy went down for a gal he met in a bar thanks to that. The military does not mess around with underage sex scandals when it can avoid it.I believe if you're in the military in the US, you can bang 16 year olds...And if you lie and say you THOUGHT she was 16, you can bang 12 year olds with what the military considers a "valid defense".
Is this wrong? It DOES state that a member of the US military can have sex with a girl the day she turns 16, right??What is the Age of Consent for Sex in the United States Military?
For members of the United States military, conduct is governed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). For members of the military, the crime of rape can be (and has been) punished by death.
The age of consent for members of the military is 16 years old. This means that a member of the military who has sex with a person under the age of 16 is committing a crime. If the sex is consensual, the crime is known as “carnal knowledge” rather than “rape” and is therefore not punishable by death.
Unlike many state laws, the UCMJ does not have any provision making exceptions for parties who are close to the same age, with one of them being below the age of consent. So, if an 18-year-old serviceman has sex with a 15-year-old girl, he is committing a crime. However, the day she turns 16, it is legal for them to have sex.
The UCMJ section prohibiting this type of conduct is very brief. The law does not list a specific punishment for the crime, only “as the Court-Martial may direct.” This probably means that any punishment short of death can be imposed, including dishonorable discharge and prison time.
The UCMJ allows mistake of fact to act as a defense in these cases. If the victim is, in fact, over the age of 12, and the offender reasonably believed that he or she was 16 or older, this fact is a valid defense.
Dunno, guess I misunderstand this...here's the link to the legal website...

That's only half the story though. There's this little catch-all in the UCMJ, known as "Conduct unbecoming". They punish you for sex with minors under the premise that you are committing conduct unbecoming your station. Though the UCMJ does not expressly forbid it, you will go down for it. I was in the Marines from 2006-2010, I know from experience buddy. Watched a friend go down for it, like I said.Is this wrong? Damn, I'm interested in that story. What led you to joining the Marines? When was this, and how old are you now, if you don't mind me asking, of course? That's only half the story though. Edit: I was in the Marines, they are much more stringent than other branches in many aspects. To be fair, I may not be representative of the Army, Navy, etc.
I didn't have much else going for me and the military always sounded exciting. lol Honestly, it was a misplaced sense of patriotism, a little boredom, and a desire to blow things up. I was in from Oct. 2006-Oc. 2010. I'm 23, 24 in September.Damn, I'm interested in that story. What led you to joining the Marines? How would you describe your stay? What did you gain/or perhaps lose, from joining? Were you ever deployed? Is your life any different now, better/worse, because of your enlistment?I didn't have much else going for me and the military always sounded exciting. lol Honestly, it was a misplaced sense of patriotism, a little boredom, and a desire to blow things up. Yea, I'm kinda curious about this myself. I also have a desire to blow stuff up.. Just made a couple pvc pipe bombs for the 4th.How would you describe your stay? I'm not surprised by that either. I've been trying to get my mom to start toking up or something, like some nice hash oil to help with all her medical issues. I would be willing to use one of my whole plants to make a decent amount of oil for my mother if she would agree to it. There is also this up and coming company that is some sort of research company for good ol mary jane. My gf has some stocks with them currently.. I think they will do well and they are cheap to buy into right now.Norml recently released a test that marijuana can help, didn't surprise me much but it does support the legalization so was pleased to see that article.
