The hole was about pencil sized and was getting clogged with the perlite. Now its bigger and there is no drainage issues. What are they getting clogged with ?? What size is the hole and what is in the pot?

i know a few folks who loves coir in their buckets... i'll try and find a pic or two from there grows to show ya'sOK... after reading this entire thread... I have to admit... I'm intrigued and want to give it a try. I just built a bubbleponics type system so I'll try both.
Most everyone in this thread is reporting using Perlite.... I'd like to use Coco Coir.... I have a huge block of it and I've started my seeds in it and it's really great stuff. It is PH neutral and has enough food in it that no nutes are needed in the seedling stage.
I also already have the Monkey Juice (made especially for coco coir) nutes for Veg and Bloom.... so it just makes sense to go this way.
Can anyone here report about using this type of medium vs. Perlite? I really like the Coco Coir (actually the block I have is Sunleaves Coir)... anyway... I'd love to see some posts from people who've used this medium.
I have Hydroton (sp?) clay pebbles so I could put those in the bottom or maybe half of the container... any thoughts?
Hey BigDok help me out with this sog stuff, I have 4 plants that I put on 12/12 10 days ago, they just showed female parts today.... all 4 of them, if I want to get a sog operation going, should I revert them to veg?? or just take a clone from each??? I dont totally understand how this works but I want to try.... all help appreciated..... oh or both take a clone and refert to veg??
... again, not my grow!i know a few folks who loves coir in their buckets... i'll try and find a pic or two from there grows to show ya's
thanks a bunch WWW I will be taking one clone from each of the new ladies today, one question that I was unsure on,should I put the clones in a seperate room, or is 12/12 lighting ok for them?Hey BigD
YES - you can clone in 12/12, I just did it a week or so ago and it worked great.
What you don't want to do is revert those ladies back to veg - the stress can cause them to go hermy.
So just take the clones and out of those, choose a mother or two...
Here's a link with plenty of seasoned growing vets that agree on cloning in 12/12... https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/60631-i-cloned-12-12-look.html

neem oil is your best friend =]Another question, when using 100% perlite doing a HB does that cut down on the pests you get from soil based grows ?? Also whats a good pest control/killer
I had the same problem at first, it really is as simple as it sounds, get a bucket, make a hole 1.5" from the bottom, add perlite, add plant, fill the rest with perlite, and you are set to go, I took 4 seedlings from my AG and put them in hempy buckets, they are all in flowering now, look on the first couple pages of this thread there are pics of how to set it upyeah im sorry now, if i missed it in the thread but i just kinda dont get the setup, (hempy bucket) i think im gonna need a diagram , maybe made in paintbrush. but anyway is the bucket with the hole in filled completey with perlite .
i just dont understand how the rootage will make it thru that. im am stoill on my first grow, using a AG. and i just dont understand
