Also tobacco companies give the government millions if not billions of dollars each year, and its population control. Doesnt that sounds good for them. Thats why i dont smoke tobacco and rarely drink.

I'm a smoker of tobacco so I can't say that I want it banned. lol
But as for other drugs not being legal and other are. I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with control. Our government loves to be able to control people.. Take this of example. In my area, they decided that it would be a good idea to ban ALL synthetics. They claim that it is killing kids and what not, but the fact of the matter is they don't want you to be able to have anything that you can get any sort of real enjoyment out of. Like any type of stimulant. Granted tobacco can be considered a stimulant but it take a while for cancer to kick and kill you while some other control substances can kill you almost instantly if you take to much.

Illegality already loses the battle to facts, yet drugs still stay illegal. I don`t think its just that they are watching out for our health.

Of course they want drugs to stay illegal. I mean think about the world we live in, where people who simply have land leaces from 'somewhere' can pretty much make a killing from working his land...

I would say that making sure the lower classes of people can`t get drugs (Cannabis, MDMA, Opiates, Psychedelics) would promise a more stable and reliable workforce for our mechanised world. Better law following and stuff too. People tend to not give a fuck when they are high/drunk... Propably cos they realise?!

But I`m not digging this whole being a workforce game. So we really work as a human race so we can keep further on looping and looping throughout the years where some are on the bottom, some are on the top. What do we have to show for this? Two world wars, planet fucked, people starving, unemployment... Its like making a brew of alcohol, you always got the dregs on the bottom and the good old intoxication floating on the top... lol

Our laws are made by invididuals who seek power, thats why they are in command and we aren`t. I don`t like those mindsets. How many of you would enjoy to hang out with these 'high class' people? I deffinately would not. Well, there you go. Controlled by fucking aliens :D

Freedom is the ability to do what we want. Power is the freedom to be able to control someone elses freedom.

So go and try talk to some dude in command, who is pretty happy living his life according to his pre programmed parental scripts 'Work and be a very respectable man my son' type deal. 'Do your schoolwork well and you may get to wear a suit like your grandad!!' They ain`t gonna care or listen to lower class people wanting to smoke joints, eat junk and burn their brains out on E`s. "Do you know who you are talking to?! Don`t waste mah time" type deal lol

Basicly, don`t listen to anybodys crap. Do what you love in life and don`t ever be forced to play part in another person`s script, because thats what you are, a part in their script. For their very own psychological victory... How about smoke a joint and win QWIK style Mr. Guvnor? :blsmoke:

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Only thing I have to add is that another main reason why government doesn't want certain things to be legal is: " They can't figure out a way to tax it." What I mean by that is this; Even though in some places weed is legal, you are always going to have some growers like us that can produce a better product that isn't taxed. Nor do we pick and choose who we should sell it to.

Thats right, taxes. The 'legal mafia' takes its cut right there...

I mean this whole smoking a joint and being perfectly happy, why shouldn`t that happen?! Why should we need more to be happy. Its just something to keep the system going IMO. You go eat in a restaurant so the waiters get to work, and the chef gets to work, then the boss gets the money and pays a fraction each to them, then the government hoovers some of it up.

Its a nice game, but the best seats seem to be taken up by massively fat & rich cunts... For a while due to the nature of this system.

This isn`t about marijuana, its about a whole screwed up system that may get effected by its legality.

Why doesn't the argument for tobacco work for illegal substances?

Why isn't tobacco scheduled? What is congress/the DEA's argument for that?
money. they should really ban cigs an drinkin, but too many ppl would get salty so i guess drinkin can stay. a person can run thru cigs, but you're not downin fifth after fifth.

So what is stopping the population from straight up saying "this isn't consistent with this, so fix it or fuck you."?

What stops them is you can't find enough like minded people to do so. It seems like the only time you see people grouping together is when it has to do with "Church going hate groups" making signs that say; "GOD HATES FAGS." I mean seriously. If any of those people had any common sense they would realize that if god made everyone then he also made gay people. Which is obviously not the case.

If we could all stand together and boycott the government we may be able to get something done. Probably not, because we could be considered rioters and get mace bombed or something. If not killed.

There are to many people with power positions that agree with our governments ways that it would never accomplish anything even if we tried.

I wish prostitution was more open minded and legal..... it's one med thats hard to find quality without without spending too much.

Do you think there are enough people, we just haven't figured out a successful way of opposing yet?

That's what I think.

Which leads to the question... What IS the correct way to enact change?

We saw MLK do it with civil rights basing it off of Gandhi's teachings.. We saw, who was it, Susan B. Anthony? do it with women's rights... What do we need to do to get the governments attention? To distinguish nationally the difference between medicinal and recreational, to collectively understand why choosing, on your own free will, why taking a substance recreationally is a crime if it doesn't harm anyone else, etc.

Is it all about money?

Not to mention it would be a hell of a lot safer and less people would be below the poverty line...

I'm afraid our government is run by psuedo Christians who cherry pick their morals and collectively fuck up the country with every vote they make.

It would seem a good argument for disbanding this group of criminals and con artists in favor of individuality and individual responsibility, because, CLEARLY, these motherfuckers can't be responsible for themselves, let alone an entire goddamn country.

I do believe it is all about the money. I guess if we could find a billionaire willing to give money to the cause or maybe even buy out portions of the government then we would be set.

I mean you already know how much proof has went into showing that weed is not only good for you it's the best product to use for any sort of medical issue. Even with all the facts that are attached to it they still refuse to legalize it is parts of America. It makes no sense. I mean with all the proven facts some people just refuse to accept that it anything other than a drug that gets you high.

So again, it traces back to stupidity... People are just too stupid to know what's good for them and are easily led by what poppa government says is right..

When will it change? Will it ever?

More than likely not. Most individuals are followers and there are only a few leaders and the ones with power and money win.
I wish it would change, but that is how our society is and I think they outnumber us 2 to 1

The biggest shift in policy i have seen in my lifetime was caused by mass unrest, daily riots involving tens of thousands of disgruntled "citizens" (poll tax riots uk 1990)
I do not believe the political system has "morals" itself, but it will use the idea of them to control and segregate the population

stop being compliant, stop voting, stop paying tax, etc etc .. this would be a good start, if you wish to abandon your "slave" status

it seems to me there is such a huge gap between those that have power and wealth beyond imagination and those that do not
regarding regular folk as nothing more than cattle .. people = a means of productivity nothing more .. worker Ants LOL

And I think it's so tough because there's not really any one individual to fight back against. In reality, it's us. All of us who we need to fight back against. "if you're looking for someone to blame, you need only look in the mirror..." -V for Vendetta...

So people are relatively content with their lives, content enough not to take to the streets in protest... while the world turns on the dollar at the expense (none of us see) of the 3rd world. We moralize it with Ayn Rand type philosophies proclaiming individualism paramount and collectivism communism as con artists take the wheel and steer us into collapse.

See you guys on the other side... hopefully.

I can go along with everything you said except the stop paying taxes part. There isn't any way to get out of doing that one. Especially without being penalized. And from what I understand, the IRS can now have you thrown in jail for not paying taxes. I could have sworn that there wasn't a debtors jail anymore but go figure.
