4ft 8bulbs t5... What HAVE you yielded???

Simple question for ppl who have flowered under a 4ft-8bulb t5. What were your yields like and what style of grow did you do (i.e. Sog ,scrog, topped,fimed ,supercropped, natural).
 
Using regular horticulture 2700k for flowering I average .5 to .6 gpw, but my best was .8
I LST and switch to flower when my girls are 10 inches, transplant to bigger pots which brings them down to 8 inches, and continue to train to keep them no more than 18 inches the entire cycle. This keeps the flowers comparably dense to an HPS.

With that said, I will be trying a mix of 4 2700k, 2 flora suns, and 2 uvl 660nm bulbs (once uvl releases 2 footers) this next go and am hoping to see a slight increase. Either way I've already committed to the switch from HID to T5, and do not regret it.

I'm 2 foot 8 bulb by the way but it's the same gpw just half the plants
 
Awsome sounds like u have a good thing going. If I can pull .5gpw ill be happy (thats my goal in my hps tent). Thanks for the info!
 
Here is a couple pics of my Nirvana NYPD at 7 weeks flowering i took this morning. T-5 works well for me.

T51.jpgT52.jpgT53.jpgthey vegged under this lite w/ 6-6400k bulbs and 2- 2700k's and flowered with 6- 2700k's and 2- 6400k's. the plants are 5' 3'' tall. so dont hesitate to use t-5's
 
How many plants do you squeeze under that 2ft 8bulb? Right now im on a first run in this t5 tent (4x2x5) with one lsted girl. But was thinking of running 3 plants next time. This runs kinda a shits and giggles run.

Nice.Just got a free T5 4ft 4bulb Hydrofarm found it on doorstep,UPS no info where from or who it was for,i have only ordered from 1 place and it was for nutes so i bet they made a mistake.Have kept it in box for over 6 months.Anyway gonna use it for vegg.as i dont think it would be worth it to flower with 20k lumens?Any thoughts?
 
Those nypd look great! Ive been using 2 4ft 4bulb t5's in a 4x4 to veg and a 600w hps in another 4x4 to flower but added a 4x2 with a 4ft 8bulb to also flower. Ive seen amazing looking plants under t5's even though most doubt there use in a bloom room.

4 plants, I used to use a closet but just built a really nice 2x2x3 stealth cab, the ventalation and t5 take up 9 vertical inches, I gave 7.5 inches to my smart pots(they are 10.5 inchx9 inch 3 gallon but I don"t fill all the way) and then the girls will still have that 18 inches + 2 inches from the light at all times. Each girl has a square foot of her own space. I practiced in the closet a few grows and finally felt comfortable going stealth. I think I may actually get an increase in gpw because of the closer walls with higher reflection now.
 
i did it for heat reasons. they stay cool ergo my air conditioner doesnt run as much and electric bill stays low. besides, i'm growing for me only for my cancer so my yield doent have to be to big....
 
Exactly. I would get a consistant .8 pw with my 600w hps, but I just do not need all that herb, I don't sell so I really push quality over quantity. Not to mention my AC runs half the time and my 2ft 8 bulb uses just 192 watts
 
Ive gotten just a hair under .5gpw with my 600w everytime. But between my wife and I we smoke a oz to one and a half a week. Finaly I said wtf am I doing spending as much on pot as I do for my house every month. And now not only do we save tons but we get much higher quality without the shady transactions.
 
amen to that. you never know what your buying. i heard horror tales of growers drying quick useing famaldahyde and other solvents which are harmful. i control whats in my buds. about every 8th watering i use 1 tblsp of molases per gallon and in the end smoke is sweet tasteing and even smelling. so yes not only the saveings but quality. sorry to ramble on like that....

I think you could absolutely Flower with a 4 foot 4 bulb. Just have to train the to stay inside the lines you know what I mean? You could flower 4 small plants in a line with lst or scrog, or 2 plants trained to lay down. Micadesgns let's his girls get much taller than mine and it's still working out great for him! Myself I've never tried tall plants with t5 because I noticed 18 inches is about the maximum penetration to have dense buds all the way to the base.
 
yes, my mistake. they were clones from plants i already had flowering so i vegged to long. didnt want 5' tall plants but wasnt gonna kill em......LOL. not sure what yield will be and i do have a lot of small buds at bottom.
 
I hope I can do better then .25gpw with it lol. Realisticly a 1/4lb would be plenty as it seems we end up running out a week or so before I harvest again. Just trying to be 100% self sufficent. Doesha what do you average gpw with ur 2ft 8 bulb? Ive read throu gh ur grows they have made me realize t5's can get great buds.

A 2ft 8 bulbs 16,000 lumens???
