Playing Super Mario with an xbox controller is awesome.

How is the N64 emulator? I never tried it since my N64 works fine and I have zelda OT and MM.. But it would be so badass to play them on my laptop when I'm not home.

I figured the emulator would be pretty damn hard to use.. or do you use a controller?

That is what the thread is about........... yes the n64 works perfectly with Xbox or PS3 controllers. you just set up the controls and use only 1 joystick

you could probably get games you don't have by downloading roms too..!!

i tried playing without a controller but its not very easy. so i use the xbox controller. just have to set up the controls the way you want them. i believe the emulator i use is called project 64

Hell yeah, I'll just carry around a ps3 remote, a USB cable, and my laptop to get down on some Zelda on-the-go. Does anybody second project 64 with personal experience? I don't want to fuck up my laptop.

n64 emulator is perfect for when on the go. believe you might need a driver to make the controller work though

Holy shit guys, I just downloaded the emulator onto my pc.. I'm hearing the zelda music right now. That's awesome. Plugged in my PS3 remote and it installed the driver. It said it's ready to use, now I just need to figure out how to use it.. Anybody know how?

Hmm, not entirely sure but i can guess. You may need to go into the emalutors' settings, then to like input, and then joypad, and match the keys to your controller there.

At least this is what I have to do to get my USB dual stick controller to work on my PC for emulators.

Ahhhh I'm all gamed out.. Just finished beating the shit out of kirby 64. Started a banjo-kazooie and a zelda profile too. This N64 emulator is awesome. I never got the remote too work. Eh, it's not too hard without it anyways.

open project 64, start your game, click options, click configure controller plugin, if you have the right driver installed theres a little drop down menu bar that says "none", click it and it should have the controller listed on it. if theres nothing there then you dont have the right driver/plugin for that controller. once you get that make sure the contoller plugged in box is checked and you can set up your controls from there.
