I HATE Heat...

70% humidity would do me in. I think I would rather try to stay warm in the wilderness than try and stay cool. We all get acclimated to our surroundings in due time. I know I spent a summer in Miami and could hardly even go outside without being blinded by the sun and of course the 100 plus temps. I'll take frostbite over heatstroke. Cold just makes you mellow then you fall asleep and die.
I agree about the cold thing. I love the winter, I find it much easier to get warm than I do to cool off. I have to sleep with my AC on and the fan running in order to get sleep and not wake up sweaty. Not to mention I have a tendency to have heat strokes.

You can always wear a ridiculous ski mask lol.
Or a bandana over your nose and mouth since the heat of your breath keeps your face warm.
I live in the south also and I love the winter. It may also have something to do with hunting season?

Not to be a dick. I was an Outward Bound instructor for over two years. Traveled all over the U.S. And a few semi-local countries. Winter, spring, summer, fall. Heat takes way more out of you then cold. Even if your used to it. My kids from up north were twice as strong on 30 day trials then warm climate kids! Just saying!

That's true but heat does make you just as tough in the same sense of adaptability but yeah, cold can make you live longer if born into it.

Some of my kids were from northern Canada. Doesn't get very warm up that way. Took them on a 2 week in Arizona. They slacked for 4-5 days. Then kicked ass!.Same deal kids from Arizona coming up to Maine for 2 weeks in late November. A good third never got strong. Babysat the whole time. And it's not like we didn't have the best gear!

All kids are different, especially redneck kids. I'll admit I shiver in 50 degrees, lived in Fl my whole life but I think I could slowly get used to it, I have a stocky figure as it is.

Redneck has nothing to do with it. My three boys hate rednecks even though there dad is. Unfortunatley, they don't realize they are rednecks too! They love hunting, fishing etc. 2 have been to outward bound. One is ex military. 2 tours in Afghanistan. The other on his way in a few months. Diesel mechanic. First boy went infantry so he could fight! Fight he did. Not a redneck eh? Guess I taught em' well!

Your kids are in the military? The way you were talking before made it seem like they are children lol. Well anway, depends on how long they were there and there is no such thing as resnecks in Arizona, only wannabes lol.

All my kids are 21 and over. And there are rednecks in every state. I just happen to like skynard, ac/dc, floyd. Not all about the music being a redneck. Or your wife's ass being bigger then the back seat of your chevy!

No that's not true, their are real rednecks that have traditions from where they live (in the south) or in certain parts of Canada but I don't count those either.

You may not see it but trust me, their are differences. Of course I can't talk too much since I've never been up north at all. Even still tho, everyone is different.

Ignorance sometimes percieved as being redneck. Down south that's common. Up here we really aren't all that racist. Just a redneck way of life I guess. My oldest boy went through alot of shit over in Afghanistan and it wasn't about the color of your skin that made your bro's save your ass!

Ok lol, again, everyone is different, even rednecks, they're not all stereotype rednecks. I'm starting to believe more and more now that you don't actually know very many rednecks.
