Price is OK except if there are significant shipping charges. If there are, go over to Amazon and check there before you buy. Hell, check there regardless. I'd do business with Amazon in a heartbeat over someone on E-bay.

A good 400W-600W Kit is anywhere from $300-$550

Regardless, it turns on.
Might not LAST you more than a few grows, but you should be able to upgrade by then.

What's your price range?
Look up reputable brands if you're looking for reliable equipment.
Otherwise, get what OP is getting..

spend a few extra bucks and get the 600w...

well. i can get it 200-250 but if its less that works too. what are good brands? so far im using a 400w so i just need the ballast i got the cooltube and stuff already

ill keep this in mind. i was actully looking at it myself. i got the magnetic ballast from htg it works fine but its hard wired and stuff into the ballast which is a pain in the ass, plus i want a 600w upgrade anyways.

eBay is no scarier than amazon to me. I deal with eBay weekly and they rely on things getting done so never have any fear about eBay. I looked this one and another up on amazon but they were more. Great reviews go. I didn't see any bad ones

A lot of people will tell you to get a reputable brand blah blah blah this and that. I got a bargain system for my aquarium (t5 with metal halide and led night mood lights) that was going to run me $1500-$2000 for $300 and it's running strong till today with no issues (3 years later).

I'm gorwing 3 plants as well, I got these of amazon and they are doing great. Get the 600 watt system, It's dimmable if you need less light. If you get the 400 and want more you're gonna have to upgrade. Can't beat it for a dimmable digital ballast that can run 600 HPS and MH bulb (included) with a timer and yoyos and a cooltube. EDIT: if you go to the link you chose, and put 6" cool tube and MH and HPS bulbs in the options it will come out to $153.90 which is more expensive than the link I gave you for 200 watts less.
