Is there a Lady Bug Expert in here?

I am looking for some good advice on ladybugs and although someone was gracious enough to share a couple of words on one of my posts, I am looking for someone who has actually USED ladybugs to eat spider mites? My grow area is approx 10x10 and I have mom's, veg and babies in one area divided from flowering stage, but I have all stages going at this time. What will the ladybugs do to my girls? I have been vacumning the mites and webs on a daily basis, but that is getting tiring? I am looking for a longer term cure and because my girls are pretty good size, using Neem doesn't seem to be the cure? Thanks abunch in advance:blsmoke:

go to home depot and buy your ladybugs there cuz the ones the have dont eat your plants. not very costly under ten buck for a bag with a gang i even had to let some loose didnt want them to die for nothing. since you have a bigger room then i, you should go with two bags.oh yeah and i think they sometimes call them ladybirds. good luck, almost forgot you can even get ladybird larvae never tried it myself but i think they would last longer but then again you probably got to look online for the larvae. if i helped send me some rep:joint::hump:

oh yea didnt use them for spider mites i use them for aphids but i know for a fact that the eat spider mites as well:joint::hump:

Ladybugs are just going to kill themselves on your lights so you are going to have to replace them constantly.Good news is they wont do a bit of harm to your plants,bad news is they only eat adult mites not larvae good luck .

Google spider-mite predators and there will be tons of hits leading you to predatory insect packages.I use green lacewings they don't get light zapped as much but they are stinky so don't touch them if you can avoid it.Should have said this earlier but hey im stoned.:mrgreen:

The marigolds do work wonders,even dried out heads of those around the plant base keep the critters at bay.Nothing likes marigolds.:blsmoke:

hey i want to have a indoor garden so if I can some how do that around my grow and get awsome results with some cheep food heck why not do it eh?

Surely won't hurt anything,and iv'e noticed the soil bound bugs don't like to hang around under marigold heads either.The very worst thing that is going to happen with the dried heads is a seed will germ and you'll grow a marigold.:mrgreen:

lady bugs main food is aphids. they will just fly around your grown on a constant look for aphids, they love them. they will also sometimes eat adult spider mites. they arnt going to rid your bug problem but will definitely help.

How did you apply the Neem Oil? I usually spray every 2 days for about a week and a half or until the problem goes away. One application won't work because the eggs that are left behind hatch after the effects of the Neem Oil ware off, hence the need for an application regimen.
A good way to prevent the ladybugs from flying into your HID and burning up is to spray them with sugar water or cola. This will harden the wings and prevent flight.
