Is this normal for an auto...any auto-experts?

I got a free NLxBB fem auto from attitude, and it has been growing lovely under my LEDs, but it's now started flowering already even though it's only 5" tall and about 7 proper nodes in...

Is it normal to flower on this many nodes...I thought it would get a little taller before it started flowering. It's only been 3 and a half weeks...

Do autos stretch much once they've started flowering, or is it all up to genetics like with regs?

I've moved to HPS now anyway, to try and induce a little more stretch before she gets too fixed on a final size. She's in a 1 Gallon pot too, so she is no way rootbound.

Not no expert, I'm a noob ,but 3 and a half weeks is normal time for an auto to start flowering. The size of that plant may have been bigger for those 3 weeks, but well idk.
Probably depending on genetics, but I know mine have gotten even more than 3 times bigger after the first pistils. Then again that may be because they had a shitload of space because of a transplant just after the first pistils.

all the autos ive done start about 4-5 weeks then we usually induce them by switching them to 12/12. normally about 18" high.

Yeah..it's weird because I thought that lowriders were like a faster version of the classic ruderalis auto, but this one looks like it isn't going to hit 1ft and be done in less than 2 months. Time will tell I guess. Cheers for the info.

@Donii - All I can tell you so far is that before flowering my plant had beautiful dual-tone leaves. Dark purple on the bottom, and perfect indica green on the top. It also smells fantastic even as a seedling if you rub the leaves a little. A really sweet fruit smell. Mine is in soil, and has had nothing but water. It's small, but perfectly formed. Some slight curl on the newer leaves, but my temps are a little higher than I'd like.

three to four weeks to start flowering is about right, no worries man you're on schedule.

^^^If you have to induce it, it is not an auto.

hey bro i had autos that had pre flowers with only like 3 node and like 2 inch tall. 9 of them did that from my poor care, i put em outside to let nautre take its course in big pots, some pulled 1 oz and others not even an 1/8th so ya huge potential to stratch and get good harvest.

Qim at 8 days and only the first set of true leaves have came out so far. You arent the only one with slow growth! It must be genetics of the strain.

Hope all goes well with this grow, keep updated we can share our knowledge with this 'new breed of autos' world of seeds claims.

Also, I read in the description that the buds turn purple near the end of flowering. Thought I'd let ya know that if you didn't already :-) happy growing MC

Hey dude. Missed this. The smoke wasn't great in the end, though I did get about an Oz off it. The bud had a very slightest purple tinge..not a purple colour...just a slightly weird shade of green...but that didn't stay through the drying. You couldn't even see it in photos though, so it was very light.
The bud was also pretty fluffy...especially when I compare against the other buds I've got finishing up now! They're under the same light..in the same soil, and are already like rocks. I don't think I'll bother with an auto again, unless it's free...
