Just harvested my Sour Cream and starting a new grow of five Sour Cream and one Reserva Privada Confidential Cheese. I will put up pics once the seedlings have reached a few inches and are ready for soil. I will be using 3 gallon pots, Miracle Gro soil that feeds for six months, and maybe Miracle Gro plant food (tomatoe food). I will be growing 12/12 from seed (second crop this way) and found out about it from a great thread https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/416589-12-12-seed-thread.html. My lighting is 8 68 watt cfl's from Home Depot and 1 250 watt cfl from a hydro store. This is a pic of one of the Sour Diesels from the last grow Sour Diesel.jpg. I will be watering with straight tap water and I do not use any ppm or ph meters. So, let's try and enjoy the ride together and see what happens.

Wait a minute. You use punctuation marks and know how to spell. Sure you're at the right place? Lol.

Let's give him a chance and see what he does. Usually I would laugh at someone who seems to know it all
from a book. But sheesh, he already uses my pots, my dirt and my nutes. Those are all decisions I have made
through years of trial and error. Maybe he is bright enough to use punctuation and grow too!

Just because we're outlaws don't mean we're stupid.
BigSteve.

PS -- The Sour Cream is titz!

And.............

If you are serious about recording your grows give this a thought -- what questions early in growing did I have
that were hard to find answers for? You'll end up with questions like how much do I water seedlings? When's the best time to transplant?
Basic questions that all newcomers have. THEN, set up your records to answer those questions. Example: keep a chart where you
measure each plant every 3 days. By charting the growth that way you know when your plant starts growing an inch a day that you
are in full-fledge veg mode. That one statistic can answer a bunch of questions -- when to clone?, sexing via cloning?, when to turn
the lights?

Help yourself by helping us all. BigSteve.

Just for you, I will do this. The reason I am doing this is the K.I.S.S. method works best for me. I forgot to mention that I start seeds in rapid rooters (best way to start in my opinion). I soak the rooter in lukewarm water, insert seed, and then put it in a hydro net pot (so it won't fall over). Also, I have never claimed to know it all. I don't use meters as I add nothing to the soil and use the finger method (second knuckle deep) for watering. Now this time I may use Miracle Gro food but, will just use 1/4 strength and judge by eye. I am doing this trying to show how very easy it is to grow this plant and cut through all the bullshit.

Quick little update: the seeds were put in rapid rooters Sunday morning the 15th and all six popped sometime Tuesday the 17th. Also, you don't have to but, I take a toothpick and gently turn any seeds upside right (taproot facing down). I know they should correct themselves naturally but, sometimes they don't. Already there are little hairs coming off the taproot. When the seedlings get older and I see that maybe the shell is not coming off, again I will use a toothpick to remove it. Now again, this is not something you should have to do but, I had a plant that had issues with getting the shell off and I asked someone about it and they said don't worry, it will fall off naturally. Well, it never did and the plant died. Now I don't know if that is what killed the plant but, I am not taking any chances ever again. I had one plant that was having issues and when I went to remove the shell I accidentally ripped off both cotyledon leaves and thought for sure I had killed the plant. Well, I left it alone and it turned into a great plant and the strain was Nirvana AK-48. I have never had any problems germinating or with hermies. The only problem I have ever had is with heat stress and that's my own fault. Oh yeah, I will be using one meter, a thermometer (first time). Cfl's may not get anywhere near as hot as the HPS's or MH's get but, they still produce a good bit of heat and proper venting is a good idea (although I never had a heat problem before, I did with this last grow). I am also growing in a tent I bought off Ebay for 85.00. I have grown Nirvana's Bubblelicious and AK-48, TGA's Plushberry, G-13 labs Giggabud, Purple Haze, and Pineapple Express, DNA Genetics Sour Cream, Connie Chung, and Chocolope, Dinafems Blue Hash, Original Amnesia, and Diesel, Emerald Triangle's Grapefruit Krush and Super Sour OG, T.H. seeds Burmese Kush. So, I tried Hydro but, soil is way more forgiving and I think just a better choice for me. Shit, one more thing, I will also be using tomatoe cages for support as the Sour Cream gets pretty fucking tall and heavy!

Sour Cream is a good smoke and a good plant to grow. I have been smoking it daily for a month or so and it still does the trick nicely

Alright, due to unforseen issues and the fact that I have been busy as hell lately, I lost all but two plants. They are not in great shape and therefore I will not be putting up pictures. I am starting a new grow and just popped 5 Pineapple Express. This time I promise to post pictures and update regularly. If you have any questions please feel free to ask as I feel I have learned a lot and don't mind sharing. Also, the setup will be the same as previously mentioned except the soil will be Miracle-Gro with moisture control.

I'm a newbie grower and I'm using MG soil as well, and basically what I've been told by the pros is it's nice for a first time grower but as you end up experimenting with other mediums and nutrients and lighting you'll find that you'll like other soil better that's more forgiving and has the least chance of nutrients burning the roots. MG is supposed to be a "lazy" or "newbie" growers friend as you pretty plant the damn thing and let it grow, giving it only water and lights on a timer. I'm, watering every 2 to 3 days depending on how dry my drain pan is and how dry the soil feels about an inch deep. Once it's time to flower, you can give it nutrients for flower and of course change the timing on your lights as well as the spectrum (2700k for flowering, as opposed to 5000k-6500k for veg). So be very careful with your watering and you should be ok with MG soil.

Actually, my family has used MG products for a very long time and have always had great results! As for the 5 Pineapple express, they just got a new friend, Dinafem's White Widow was popped 2 days later and it has already caught up with the PE. I know pics at this stage are lame but, here is a different looking pic of a baby.

After a few weeks of 12/12, I will post several pics. I am really in love with MG with moisture control! The haters don't even hate MG for MG they hate Monsanto. Nobody who smokes my weed can tell the difference between my MG weed and organically grown weed. Those that say they can are flat out full of shit! Science has already proven there is no difference in between regular growing and organic when it comes to taste in our groceries.

Here's my babies at two weeks old! 5 Pineapple Express and 1 White Widow. As you will notice the one PE is a runt (they are all the same age) and the WW has a tip burned from CFL being too close.

Well, I may have to eat a bit of crow. After installing the 600 watt MH, my plants are booming! I will put up pics this Friday and will continue posting new pics every Friday. I am using the MH for around 1 month and then will switch to HPS.

Well, here is an update. The White Widow has been blowing up and the one PE is going to be a monster! The plants are 28 days old and looking good. I accidentally killed one PE by knocking it over and I turned it into a few clones that I am experimenting with. By the by, the WW is a Dinafem seed and I just popped a Delicious seeds "Critical Jack Herer". Here are some pics of where I am at,
