How did he know this back in 1965

I have to say he was pretty much spot on. Take the time for this one, it's short and he was sooo right. Sent to me by a friend that knows I catch a buzz.

Man did create God.

He probably "knew" because many of the things he spoke of were already happening in the 1960's.

The devil isn't real and God isn't real. It's easy to make them the scapegoat, but they don't exist.

I'll tell you what sits wrong with me about this. It equates morality with submission to the Bible. While i admit that many believe this (and do not begrudge them that faith), I view this homily as wrong in one very important particular: the Bible does not hols a monopoly on morality, and a monolithic Bible-fololwing society is by no means a desideratum. What he really is promoting with his gentle tone and gentle words is a sort of sharia. He violates one of my most deeply-held tenets of patriotism: "What you say horrifies and disgusts me, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I extend him this decency, but wonder if he'd have done the same for me. cn

how did he know?

The world is passing through troubling times. The young people of today think of nothing but themselves. They have no reverence for parents or old age. They are impatient of all restraint. They talk as if they knew everything, and what passes for wisdom with us is foolishness with them. As for the girls, they are forward, immodest and unladylike in speech, behavior and dress.

We'll never know he is dead. I thought twice before posting it. There is things in there that I disagree with, but I thought that people would take into account that this was said in 1965 a much different time.

I know I come across as a bible toter, I'm actually not. I do believe in a higher power and you don't. I don't find the Big Ten as a bad thing

Wish I could stay and debate, but today is turning out to be a very busy day. I'll catch up in a day or two or next week or if lucky maybe tonight if I'm not traveling.

Just as, in all things, no matter what you "believe"... your "beliefs" are merely thoughts that you want to be true.

If they were true... you would not be required to believe.

Everyone needs to turn their captions back on. This was not some prophetic monologue he did in 1965. The end of the video explains how he updated it regularly throughout the years.

I hope you know that I respect you and your belief. I was reacting to the well-camouflaged intolerance in his homily. cn

We see how this stuff works. People will easily believe anything. So, it was revealed long ago. You have to be very careful these days to Not start a religion accidently. They may all talk about you when you've died. But, then they will say, that's what you wanted. Could have easily made a miracle, right?

I know a Guru that came to America but now runs grass roots charity orgs in India. He was saying one thing, about Self. But, the masses were proclaiming him Exhaulted and then holding him to standards that were beginning to stink of religion. He said as much, and to his credit, he dissolved the entire world wide organiztion practically overnight. And before it could become a church. He still maintains there is no world to save. There is only Knowledge of Self.

i don't. she regularly showcases her bible toter side in oh so subtle ways. it's cute that she thinks so little of us and that we won't notice what she's doing.
The Chopra quote in her sig ain't helping her credibility, either. Heis posted this site earlier, and it just tickles me to the point that I keep it on an open tab and just keep refreshing the page and giggling while high. The shit the algorithm generates is actually better than what he usually has to say, try it out for yourself: http://www.wisdomofchopra.com/

if you get stoned enough and think long enough some of these actually make sense lol

"death transforms an expression of self knowledge"

"the invisible differentiates into the mechanics of truth"

or maybe not.... lol
