Well only you can answer that one. But Yes you "could" but it will take a lot of work time and effort. there are many roots you can take. search the forum for ideas. then come back witha more percific question.
The only thing I would say is 3 lights probably won't cover a square very well. you would want 4, for a square. 3 lights would cover a rectangle. maybe 5' by 15', say.

If you are trying to make an impression that is working, you could put 100 plants on a table that size at only 1 per sq. ft. Some grow as many as 4 / sq. ft. Flood and Drainis one of the Hydro methods, I'm guessing you could probably use it for hydro. Lets see six pounds , hmmm 96 zips 30 plants uhh. Any idea of a budget ? And who is going to climb into the middle of the 10' by 10' table, or were you just going to get one of those conveyor systems from Walmart ??

I grew 96 plants in a 4X8 area, aeroponic but viable with hydro too. look up SOG (sea of green)

If you are not trying to make an impression then you have some reading to do. Any of the Hydro Systems will allow you to grow a lot of plants that is why a lot of us use them. Most of us try to set up a perpetual harvest, so that every two to four weeks depending on the flowering time for the strains we are growing we are harvest 1/4 of our plants. One of the things you could do is check out some grow journals that are posted in our forum, pick a couple that sound like the kind of space you have, and read them, many include pictures, those are almost a requirment. Filthy Fletch grows 'that many' using aero, Al B grows 3+ lbs every month and has a journal posted, Get A Harvest Every Two Weeks. He explain what and how he does it, even covers the improvments he has made to increase his production by 50% over the last year or so.
I have a couple of journals, one just started in February, from seed to perpetual weed. We have the first set of seedlings starting their third week of flowering and have covered germination, planting, transplanting, introducing them to the hydro system, and cloning, even a couple of pictures for sexing your plants. We have an explanation for using a Tri-meter, you should get one if you are going to grow hydro. If you like you could check out a couple of DIY threads I have posted, I built my own flood and drain tables, a cloniing stand that you could put 150 clones in for less than $100.00, and posted a method for putting a 'sight level' on the front of your reservoirs. I installed all of the electric. plumbing, ro system, and air handling systems, and while all of that is not posted in the thread all of the things except the exhaust sytem that is in the ceiling are shown. I even tell you some uses for male plants.
We do have a contest for grow journals that you will want to check out, Garden Knowm is heading that one up and I think there is still one about art work, I can't draw a straight line with a ruler so I didn't pay much attention to that one.
I think my investment to this point is around 6 or 7, so once again, any idea of a budget? VV

yeah, you need to do some damn reading man. you are lucky VV took some time out of his day to even post a reply other than what I have already said.. I will say it again, you need to do some reading....
this isn't something that anyone wants to spoon feed you through, you are a few months off from even basic comprehension unless you have a lot of money and time to waste, as well as clones to burn.
I doubt you have clones to burn though, cause if you knew enough to have them, you would know enough to know that a 10x10 table is not a good idea.
5-6 lb goal with no experience to speak of, your room will probably end up costing around 10k, and you are looking at at least 200 hours of labor in your first 30 days. thats 6-7 hours per day of construction, running new electrical and plumbing, going through the learning curve and all that.
believe me, I am speaking from experience.
you should be looking for 1-2 lb setup, get your feet wet without spending 10k, and see if its really something that will work out in your space, your lifestyle, your relationships, and all that shit, before you sink your retirement into a grow room.

Ok that is a good start. Now we need to know how often you want to produce that kind of weight. While you are checking that out, please post some pictures of the space you are considering. Check to see how many amps of electric service you have and were its located compared to were the grow area is. Does your structure have an attic, we need to plan some ventilation systems, and what kind of water do you have, were is it located in relation to your grow area and of course waste water disposal, sometimes called sewer water. And it would be helpful if you could give us an idea of your knowledge for planning and installing plumping, electric, sewer and air handling system and do you have some tools, if you have $5k to start I assume some knowledge in all of these?? I don't want to bore you with details if you already know how to be a DIY. VV

To give you an idea, my reses hold an average of 25 gallons each and I have four of them that get changed every two weeks, plus the clones and water to clean with. Some of it, like hooking up pumps, etc are simple push fittings, you are going to want a water source in the room. You could always hire that done or if its in Cali for a short duration run a hose and deal with ph'ing the water. 90% of growing is water, and 75% of the weight of the buds is water. VV

I have heard this from others as well. In order for me to know there is a difference, I would have to establish a norm. Haven't been doing it long enought to do that. If you use a PPM meter you will be able to see what your plants are eating.At the end of 2 weeks your ppm may be very low though still effective. At once a week the nutes are still pretty strong but there is no way to tell if my plant is using all the nitrogen (example) in 3 days.I have heard this from others as well. I understand your point, you could say the same thing about the res one day after you change it though, so I'm not buying that one. Like you say it could be gone in three days. I use several additives that help. I use a tri-meter so Iknow the ppm, the ph and the water temp. all need to be in balance or the nutes won't matter much. VV
