cloning question

i have 2 plants that have been put in to my flowering room (12-12) 9 days ago pre-flowers are tiny need a scope to see them theres not a lot and there only near the top can i take a clone from a lower branch with minimal problems i use a aeroponic cloner with 100% success on every clone i take ive just never cloned a plant in 12-12 thank you for your help

Hi, youll be just about ok... the clones will take a few extra days to revert back to vegging - may slightly reduce your success rate if anything but youll probs be fine.

You bet. Take them at any stage after the plant can support being trimmed. Do it all the way up through flowering. Like always use your lower units first.

No. It means that the plant has triggered itself to flower mode now, and will need to go back to using differing nutes (up taking) for vegging cycle again. Once in flower the nutes are taken up and processed differently than in veg, so now it needs to revert. Not a big deal at all.
Edit: Unless you keep the clones on flowering light cycle. Lol. To stop flowering, increase light time to more than 12 hours.

I had a question:
Last time I tried to clone a flowering plant, the little buds got mold.
Has anyone attempted to trim the bud off the trimming before cloning? Or will that stress the cutting too much?

Have had rootbound mothers put out excessive preflowers. Pretty much it was producing buds.
Used a razor blade and carefully cut out all the flowers and much of the lower growth.
Would think that when going about revegging you would want to do the same thing.
