Problem with Cali Connection seeds stalling

Out of four Buddah Tahoe two stalled and are doing nothing. Out of my DeadHead OG one is growing and 7 have stalled.
Seedling are under a heat mat. I normally wouldnt be concerned about this but the rest of the seeds I popped are on their way and the rest are almost to the surface. The Deadhead og are the first to pop and they are just tiny little root tips. The Buddah that are stalled have a pretty good size root tip and I have hope for them.
I popped these beans all at the same time in the same conditions:
RD Moonshine Haze 9/9 growing ( 1 seed popped late but is growing)
Bohdi Goji OG 3/3 growing
CG SSSDH 2/2 growing (1 popped late but is growing)
Cali Connection Buddah Tahoe 2/4 (2 are stalled) No growth on the stalled seeds but good sized root tips.
DeadHead OG 1/8 (7 are stalled) very small root tip that has not grown in 2 days.

The weird thing is the Cali connect seeds sprouted root tips first and just stalled out. I'm pretty upset about it. I'm not here to bash anyone, Deadhead is one of my top 5 all time favorite strains. I thought the shell was too hard and it was stuck but thats not the problem. Has anyone had this problem before? Anyone have a solution to getting the root tip to resume germination?

No, I start them in a paper towel. As soon as the tap root pops out I transplant them into root riot cubes. I make sure they are airy and not water logged. I have popped hundreds of seeds like this and the only problem I have ever had was waiting too long and breaking a tap root here and there.

Thank you. If they dont do anything by tomorrow, I'll put some indole-3-butyric acid on them, since i have nothing to lose. When seeds dont pop or grow its a race against time before bacteria and fungi get ahold of them.

I ran into the same problem with acouple of the CC mixed seeds I've got going now. I started 4 818's and 3 of the mixed seeds. One of the mixed popped out looking like hell from the start and died soon after. While the other 2 looked great but completely stalled out and hasn't showen any signs of life since. On the plus side my 818's all look great!

I got 9 out of 10 from CC OSD planting directly into rapid rooters plugs, no paper towel. The last seed I took out and cracked by hand and it did end up stalling after that. Only about 1/8 inch of taproot every grew out of that last one.
I have 10 more OSD and a freebie mix 6 pack on the way. I'll let you know how they turn out as long as they end up arriving!

I took a look today and they are dead. The tap roots are turning brown. All my other seeds germinated 100% no problem. I think I got old packs of seeds.
DeadHead OG 1/7. This 10 pack had 12 beans it for some reason.
Buddah Tahoe 2/4.

I popped the last 4 Deadhead and they are stalling. Same thing with the BT the last 2 are stalling. I'm going to give them a few more days. I put some freebie beans in their and they are growing just fine. I'm pretty sure the CC beans are old.

Here's a DeadHead og smoke report:https://www.rollitup.org/smoke-reports/407024-deadhead-og-cali-connection.html from my favorite grower on RIU. It's top shelf dank and some good smoke!

That sucks to hear.. Prob was some old stock for the deadheads but it seems odd. I've had seeds do that to me before but that was years ago.
Deadhead is definately some dank I grew it around the same time skunk did as well as the Tahoe and they are both great strains.

you never know if these seeds were in a 'hot' spot after they left CC either. 'hot', as in stored improperly or just bad location in transport.
I had this problem with 10Bodhi(Tranquil Elephantizer) and 10TGA(A13bx) that I ordered at the same time from the Attitude. 1/11 and 2/10, the rest stalled. Both companies/breeder hooked me up with replacements + goodies. Only real and logical explanation was a transport/storage error, as I had the same pack of Bodhi from a previous order around a week before and it went 12/12 with vigorous growth.

My deadhead last year were all fine.

Nice to see CC is fixing it.

I love and support US breeders. Any time I have had a problem with anything they fix it! I bought a bad pack of Serious seeds last year and they would not replace them. The seeds never even germinated. US breeders have way better customer support. Sensei sold me a pack of crushed seeds and they would not replace them either. I didnt even have to ask CC, I was just going to bite it, they were kind enough to see this post and fix it. CC,TGA,Bohdi,RD ect ect are a safe bet when a problem arises!

Yes, I have had the same problems with the Bubba Kush. I bought a pack from Harborside in Oakland. All six germed in a paper towel, planted in soil, and all sprouted. Then after 2-3 days the stem got thin and one by one they collapsed and died. Emailed Cali Connection, guess what? Yeah, no response. Well I thought old seeds, fluke, ? Bought another pack, out of three seeds, two sprouted. They grew for 2 mos under t-5's and were 4" tall when I threw them in the garbage can! I thought Cali had good gear, not from what I see (worst seeds I have seen)!

sounds like damping off. probably too much water or 2 high humidity

If the seeds were bad and they are being replaced, awesome. The very first thing that popped into my mind when I read your original post is those fucking heat mats. I had problems like that every few rounds and blamed everyone and everything. Used the heatmats, the same trays, cubes, etc. Someone suggested trying without my heatmat. I said fuck it. Ditched all that bullshit and I buy root riot cubes. I put the seeds right into the cubes, don't care if they are tip up, tip down, fucking sideways, whatever. I am definitely 9.?/10 and I don't worry about shit anymore.

I'm a third against a heat mat
2 dead trays of clones told me what I needed to know
either get nice accurate thermostat for it, or don't use the mat
