.

So you mean someone who advocates for those who are less fortunate
Someone who goes and finds the resources to fix a problem
A guy who helped out countless people in the inner city have a voice in our society

That guy doesnt have what it takes to be president?
that guy doesn't have the basic foundation of economic principals. It makes him a great guy, devoting his life to helping others and would make a good adviser to somebody who needs advice on humanitarian issues. President though? not even close.

Are you talking about Dr Ron Paul?
If so I think he does have what it takes and has earned our respect and would be our best choice to represent us

And fill up prisons with even more victimless crimes? no thank you.

I wish the concept of handguns were never invented but I understand why they were. Protection against others who we were no match for physically. It was designed to level the playing field (which can never really happen), and yes, make money.

I'm cool with carry, conceal makes me nervous but prohibition throughout history has been pretty consistent with it's outcome.

Firstly, let it be known that this is a hypothetical, I believe that the 2nd amendment describes real rights for the individual to keep and bear arms. I was asked what I would do as a government to remove guns from our society. Prisons have nothing to do with this.

Yes he sure did, Mr Snyder was lucky to have such a understanding employer and good friend.
I can only imagine how another employer would have treated him.
I hope I am never "lucky" enough to work for a cheap azz nut bag like Ron Paul

understood and I'm talking hypotheticals too.

You were asked what would happen if people just simply refused to give them up for various reasons, maybe even simply because it's a family heirloom. You sicked the IRS on them, the end game will either be prison time or property loss. Seems like unintended consequences would punish a victimless crime, we do way too much of that already.

I hate hand guns so I'm not defending my own rights. Just understanding the 2nd and it's purpose I would never think to limit this. In fact, I'd be cool with my neighbor owning tanks and scud missiles. I'd make friends with him if I could, move if I couldn't.

You think i am 16? really?

Here is a question for you since beenthere doesnt want to answer it

You have also use the term "community organizer" as a derisive word in describing Obama

here is the question

What is bad about being a community organizer?
.
I'll make you a deal right here in front of everyone, you show me where I said a community organizer is a bad thing and I will stay off the forum for two days. If you can't provide the proof, you will do the same.

No side stepping or double talk.
Now put up or shut up!

Because he's president, elect me and I'll be one too.

I do OK though, but far from a millionaire. Unfortunately though, you would probably consider me rich and think you deserve some of what I've earned simply for the reason I have more than you.

No prison, property loss for sure. It could be easily mandated that only weapons of a certain type or of a certain age would be collected. There are unintended consequences from the enactment of any law. We can't have it all, all the time. Consider the consequences of making abortion murder, for instance, seeing as how I originaly made that comparison.

It is likely that I pay more in Federal taxes than you - does that make you a freeloader? does that indicate that you aren't pulling your own weight? does that mean that you are taking from me?

I wouldn't worry about it, you'll never get a job, your to lazy to look for one and no one would hire you if you did. I'm sure you would feel that working was beneath you anyways and would refuse to do any job that did give you an opportunity.

no I didnt
Never said I married a black girl
Sorry
Now get the fuck bent
Yes, you did. And just to bring you up to date, you've been a running gag on RIU since (well long before that actually) you were booted for being underage. The married to a black woman is just one of many of the lies that were exposed with the revelation of your underage status and subsequent booting. Not that we really needed it to know you were completely full of shit.

For quite a while, being caught in an outright lie was called a "dukeanthony".

The 2nd amendment says anyone can have a firearm

Unfortunatly the republicans and democrats have shit all over it throughout the past 100 years or so
What he is talking about is a very reason the second amendment was created, its part of a checks and balance system.

Check yes, balance no.

More likely it is a compensation for a government that has never been charged to protect its citizens from each other.

I missed your original comparison, apologies, I was rolling in the mud.

Abortions used to be illegal and that forced a black market for such a thing that was unsafe, unsanitary and unhealthy. Alcohol used to be illegal leading to the biggest crime syndicates and violence in our short history. Drugs are illegal and has led to the highest incarceration rates of any civilized nation during any time.

I don't claim to know what would happen if we banned guns but our history leads me to believe the consequences would be ugly.
