If you just recently topped, it will take a day or two to recover and start vertical growth again.ok well thanks for the advice. I feel like an idiot messing with such a healthy plant..
But that brings me to my original question.. It is so bushy and thick but not growing towards the light.. is this normal? does this lead to problems down the line?
Why would you put a plant in a smaller pot? Why would you wait until roots are busting out? Restricting root space restricts growth. I do not understand or recommend your advice. That pot is far to big for plant size. Downsize to half gallon and wait for the roots to be pretty much busting out, then when you repot 1-2 gallon the roots fire out evereywhere. Wait, then same again into 5 gallon bucket. Ignore this advise at the size of your yield. Your roots are just as important as your leaves.
