Cabinet design?

I'm thinking of building a cabinet for bloom to use a t5 8 lamp 4 footer. I have only 7 foot of height to work with so I was thinking 4.5 wide 2.5 deep and 5.5 tall and I want to add about 16" onto the bottom for a separate cabinet with its own door for electrical, ducting, fan, storage and odor control. I have a couple questions.
First, how large of 4" duct charcoal filter would I need for very good odor control for the 62 cubic foot grow cabinet?
Next, would 15 min. on and 45 min off for every hour work well with a that filter for exhaust and fresh air intake and is that enough fresh air?

I'm not too sure about the sizes but I would suggest running the fan on a fan controller turned down and running constantly rather than turning on and off with a timer at full speed.

ever thought about HPS for bloom? If you are doing carbon scrubber you could connect a cool tube. End up with denser buds. I a closet that is 4x2x8 I run a 600 watter in there and get great results

I would probably add a controller but I was thinking about the added heating costs during the winter venting all that air outside. If I did not vent outside would a good filter keep the house from smelling?

Already have the light and I don't want to deal with the heat issues of HPS.

how much are you trying to invest building a QUALITY cabinet WILL cost about as much as a decent tent the same size.

I would also suggest running the fan 24/7 at a lower speed. You can suck air through the filter and out of the cabinet without having to worry about any odor escaping.
You don't need a very big filter for that space. This one would work great: http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/phresh-intake-filter-4in-6in-p-3943.html

I actually already had this one in my cart at the same site.

okay to answer all you questions 4in inline fan around 150cfm+ and a 90cfm can filter.

personally i would leave the fan on all the time maybe just off for when peole are over 15min 45 off is more suspect than just a constant buzzing of a fan in the background noise of the house.

OK,I'm thinking a 4" Hurricane in-line fan on a controller with a 4"x12" Phresh carbon filter. If I put the fan and filter in the lower mechanical cabinet and circulate the air to the top of the grow cabinet I could add a fitting on the pressure side to bleed air off and to pull fresh air into the grow cabinet. If the fan is on all the time I would only need to bleed a small portion to let enough fresh air in.

anything flouro so long as you vent properly for the space mylar would be fine and since your building a cabinet have you though about foil faces insulation?
