Introducing someone to weed?

My grandfather is really sick, I think he has melanoma. He's been having alot of problems with backpain, eating, and breathing. He's been on oxygen the last five years and not any medication has really worked for him. I think weed would be perfect for him, but he's old fashioned and thinks weed is evil. I wanted to try to pull a quick one him and slip him a brownie, but Im not too used with edibles myself and I only somewhat know how to dose myself, let alone someone else. Even If i convinced him, he can't smoke because of the oxygen. What should I do?

well i wouldnt "drug" anyone by slipping them anything. thats just messed up even if its for the greater good. i would maybe find a good medical MJ documentary and watch it with him and ask him if he would be willing to try some edibles and to let him know you'll set him up with everything he needs if he wants to give it a try.

as far as dosing edibles goes, there are A LOT of factors. each person is different with different tolerances. PERSONALLY i make a batch of brownies with 7-9 grams and i cut them into 10 pieces. 1 brownie gets me feeling pretty good. 2 or 3 really put me out there for a bit.

I agree with everybody, tell/ask him. Explain how good it is for pain and nausea.

From what I understand - for pain ISO is better than BHO for making an extract, something to do with the way and what it disolves. (BHO is a polar solivent?)
Anyway, you can mix the extract with pretty much anything. Like a homemade chocolate milkshake (add the extract to the cream, sort of thing).
I don't suppose he's allowed alcohol? You could use everclear to make a tincture.

wouldnt give him more than 1/10 of the brownies you make for him. not at first anyways. and of course it can take up to 2 hours for them to kick in.

This is a simple fix talk to the man. Let him know the dangers of all the rx they will give him.. Point out print out show the man the beniefits of this.. show him he has more hope in MMJ then all the other crap the dr's will hand out.

You can make canna oil capsules.. if he does not like to eat cookies etc..

If your in a legal state.. go and get him speaking to a POT dr about it.


you really could face legal issues sliping him it.. I hear all the time about some Mom giving her kids MMJ stuff and spending the nite in the pokey

Newbies should not take more then .25 every 2 hours.. and thats for those who want the thc effects.. There is a better way then thc.

Sit down with him and watch "Run From the Cure" - the Rick Simpson documentary on Youtube. It has lots of good info that might open his eyes to the fact there is actual medical value and its not just getting high. If he's willing to try it after that I'd make some sort of edibles and start with a very small dose, so small that he may not even feel the effects the first time. After that you can slowly work your way up to a level suited for him.

Well i'm meeting him tommorow and I got my hands on some blueberry, which I think might be a great strain for him. I'm figuring I'll bake it tonight and give it to him tommorow morning. Hopefully he'll have nough energy to get through the day and be able to sleep at night.

So I just talked to him and I convinced him to try it. So now I have to bake the brownies and I wanted to know if anyone had a recipe I could use, I know how to make cannabutter and tincture but don't know any real edibles (edibles that are actually edible).
