So I am watching the news past couple of days...

They report that a bunch of state attorneys wrote letters to Gov. Brewer to stop the state's marijuana law.
Brewer said she can't cuz the people voted on it and the judge said she has to implement it.
Then I hear that as soon as dispensaries open, they will get raided. I find this move completely moronic.
AZ government doesn't care about how the people voted! We need to show these assholes that our votes mean something.
We need to start voting these assholes out of office. I see in Oregon, that many people running for office in that state have lost to an opponent that is FOR marijuana instead of against it. Let's vote for the people with our interests instead of against our interests.
We need to send a message to these tightly wound conservatives that think booze and tobacco is good and marijuana is evil.

live out here for school, registered voter, hate the politics this state has with a passion, its to bad to because I love the heat and I love the outdoors but as soon as a graduate I am going going back back to cali cali... It is not even worth getting a card now the average cop does not care at all. It even says on the cards now that some counties in the state do not recognize MMJ its a joke... its sad to because some people actually need it bad and they seem so just right off those people its disgusting. I have not heard of one person in AZ who has gone without mmj that has a SERIOUS critical need. At least in AZ most growers I have met really do/ would give to those that truly need & cannot afford.
AZ MMJ is only one year old, if you're old enough to remember back in '97, Kali mmj was not where it is today.

Brewer was elected because the majority of Arizona voters agree with her positions on the issues.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio keeps getting elected because he does his job, and does it well. Illegal immigrants are criminals, and should be treated as such, and an overwelming number of American voters agree.

It is the US Attorneys office that will come after the dispencearies just as they have in every other MMJ state, and they are Obama's boys not Arizonas.

Private Prisons are a big business in AZ Prison Lobbyists are on Russel Pearce's and Jan Brewer's payroll Pearce & Brewer are in cahoots with Corrections Corporation of America ( CCA )

Meanwhile Chuck Coughlin, who leads her re-election campaign, chaired her transition into the governorship, and is one of the governor’s policy advisors, is president of HighGround Public Affairs Consultants, which lobbies for CCA.

This is important because CCA currently “holds the federal contract to house detainees in Arizona.” if SB-1070 is successfully implemented, its profits would be significantly padded as it would take responsibility for imprisoning immigrants arrested by Arizona police.

Oh and arpaoio keeps getting elected because old white conservatives from the south and Midwest come to AZ to retire and these disgusting pieces of shit tend to go out and vote in much higher numbers and rates than any other demographic. Also our states reputation tends to attract these types of shit bags. The funniest part is that people believe the republican bullshit of freedom and nationalism when all their politicians are really doing is ensuring their own financial and political position. But that is more of a national problem and is not confined to this state.
