Ive got a journal going, but i don't get any feedback and what the hell is the point of having an account if no one is giving criticism, or droppin some knowledge on me? So I'm gonna start this thread... I've got 4, 26 watt 6500k cfl's, under a hood i made out of some ducting i cut up to fit. Today i went and got some chain and fastened it to the hood and put hooks in by box to hang, so its even and doesn't move around as much while the fan is blowing into my box. I built the box with 1X1 pieces of wood, cut them to the right dimensions, and screwed that bitch together. I took some cardboard, measured the inside of my box and cut them to fit, then wrapped the panels in emergency blankets i got for like 2 bucks. (cheaper than foil brahh).
i cut a hole into the top of the box and have a small fan hung about 6 inches directly below the hole to try and blow some hot air out. (i am going to hit Fry's this weekend to buy an exhaust and intake fan with some ducting). A couple of my plants are in black gold and when i am ready to transplant I've got some FFOF, which ive heard is good soil with some nutes already in it. I've got 2 of the others already in the FFOF. Few days ago i went to ACE hardware and bought some stuff called bird netting, (keep in mind, my box is 20"X18"X32") measured and cut plastic hangers, and hot glued them together to make my Mini ScRoG. :), the seedlings popped above soil on 7/21. Running 18/6 at the moment (7 A.m.- 1 p.m.) I have one of them that I'm am doing 12/12FS (7 a.m.-7 p.m.), so when the 12 hours comes around i just take the lil dude out and put him in a dark spot with a fan blowing on it (is it ok to do 12/12FS this way? PLEASE read the rest before answering). Anyways, I hope yall enjoy checking my setup out. if i don't get too much feedback i think i may try another forum :/ sad because I'm down with RIU!

Here's my little ones, for some reason the 2 up front are developing faster than the others.
it looks like the leaf on the right plant was ripped but its just the angle i took the pic at.
and yes those are onions on the upper right haha.

Damn chill out! People haven't replied 'cause your looking good so far. cab might be a bit small for that many plants but I might be missing something, could we see an overview photo of the whole cab perhaps?

In reply to your 12/12 from seed... yes it is fine to do it that way, so long as they are only getting 12 hours or less of light, it's not Ideal keep moving back and forth but it'll do the job until you get a full flowering cab with timers and the like.

And if you wanna soak up info do what we all do, go through threads relevant to our situations and read a lot, learn that way :)

Keep it up, I like the micro grows, all I do at the moment XD

well im assuming that im gonna have some males, but if i end up running out of room im gonna build a bigger box.

Add more CFLs in asap, you won't regret it. Let them veg more, if your going to nute them. Just incase, you'll kill them because there too small.
I veg my plants 24/7, 2x130w and 24w cfl. I've added the extra 130w cfl after couple of weeks in my grow. Should of added them before, so my veg growth would of been faster.
Right now my plant is growing pretty fast with the nutes im giving it. It's dark under the canopy of the plant, so i reckon you should get more light, because later the top of the canopy of the plant is going to cover over the bottom, and going to be less light down there.

believe me bro, i would have a $1000 light setup if my account permitted. i said in my post im going to get more lights.

personally I would just go on craiglist and find a 150w hps it runs as hott as all those cfls in there guarenteed

i heard you can put 12/12 untill showing sex and then turn back to veg hours for fast sexing. not anyhting i myself have experience with tho...

im preatty sure it would work i just dont want to say im 100% since i diddnt try it out myself :)

i mean if you can reveg a plant after 11 weeks bloom im preatty sure u can reveg it after 1-2 weeks of 12/12 but i would try to look up some legit information before trying it out ^^

well I used my 2ft 4 bulb T5 vegged for three weeks, flipped to 12/12 using my led and I saw results within 4 days, but with cfls your lookin around 4-10 days and then it took them aoround a week to get back into shape and start vegging again, its your best bet if you want to sex them and get them bigger, but your size might not be able to handle more than two, If i was you id see which one i like and then just do a bunch of clones from it and go from there
