best way to check if your plant is ready

Hi peeps, can some one tell me how to tell when your plant is ready to chop without the help of a jewellers loupe.

i have a microscope also but struggle to find what im looking for through it, I know the white and amber trichs but i get confused.

you want 15% or so amber trichs the rest cloudy or for a "fuck im wasted" stone u want more amber.i grudged writing this post cos your a tim (joke) lol but hey at least your scottish

I use a 100x scope. My eyes suck. I look for first signs of amber on second tallest colas. Then it's a 4 day flush befor harvest.

Just to add to the correct info above, make sure your checking ur buds and not sugar leaves. Seen a few posts where after checking, some people still aren't sure. They post some pics of what they are checking, and it's a leaf.

mines was 30x, so in comparison to mines its much much better. Peace.
