New clones struggling

I adopted some clones Friday and was told to to leave them in 24 hours of light until Im ready to flower. My temp is averaging 80-86 and humidity of 30-40% and I'm wondering if a dark period would help contol temp. Could I got to a 18/6 or 16/8 light cycle or do they need the 24hrs light. all responses greatly appreciated

i do 18/6 i like to have a dark period other people do it 24/0 so its really up to you either way is fine if your temps are high id say go ahead and knock it down

yeah, do a 18/6, mary actually grows faster in dark after receiving light, and id put a glass of water in with your grow room to boost up the humidity till flowering stage

heard of using full 24 too but beleive 18/6 is better... mimics that natural setting in the wild...

If they are struggling it is due to humidity after I transplant clones after rooting I put a bag over the container and snip a cut at the edge so the humidity gradually lowers clones have a difficult time getting switched from high to low humidity so keep that in mind. If the clone goes 99% to 20% humidity your not gonna have a good time.

when you say adopted you mean from a collective? shouldnt they be rooted already? thought the only time a humidity dome was needed was during rooting?

I myself stick with the 18/6 photoperiod for vegetation. Temperatures are on the high side and yes if you have a dark period that would drop your ambient temperature since you dont have the light source generating heat 24/7. Humidity is a little low for vegetation that would be in an acceptable range for flowering though. Do you have an intake/exhaust(through a carbon filter) for air flow and smell control
