Hi everybody,

I actually grow my plants in a aerosystem with a 400W HPS and i'm really interrested about the LED technology.
I have see and contact loads of compagnies and one caught my attention, Plant photonics.
The Amethyst 210W looks perfect but unfortunetely I don't find anything about this panel or this compagny, so is anybody can help me? Do you know this compagny? Have you some informations?

Thanks in advance and really sorry for my english, i know he's bad but I will do my best.

Only one or two people I know who have this make of panel on the forums, good results from the 140W and the 280, but nothing on the 210W. When I spoke to Richard at PP he said the 140W will match a 400W...did he say this to you or has he said differently to you? You can't go wrong with them I think but thats an untried and tested opinion of my own..

Hello Ramix. I have 3 Plant photonics panels. Two 70 watt panels and one 140w.
His lights are the business. Whatever panel you get you will be very happy.
In my opinion his panels have the best LED's that way out-power
most other panels of much higher wattage. I hope to do a journal soon.

he said me the same think the 140W will match a 400W, i think it's true but the panel it's very expensiv and there is not much testing with this panel on the forums .

If i have money i take this panel, i think it's the best one

It is but it's such a good investment, unless you don't have heat issues and
you have solar panels & wind turbines generating your energy.

Hi everybody!

Thank you for your quick reply.
What kind of panel do you have? General purpose? Dual spectrum? I'm interested by the dual spectrum but i'm not sure because the switch look like really expensive, have you something to say about that?
Digimidji, have you some pics of your panel and of your girl please?

I think I will take the 210W dual spectrum at the end of the month, I just need to be rassuread before, it's a big investissement for me and i find there is really not enough informations about this compagny...

Thanks

Richard is very open about the parts he uses to build his lights. He uses only top quality parts. I contacted him about his 280 watt model. The dual spectrum models have more LEDs on them. In veg mode, extra blue are lit, in flower mode more red are lit. When I can afford them, his lights are the ones I will buy. By using only top bin diodes, you get substantially more light than using lower quality diodes. He is considering building a new style 560 watt light for vertical growers. Should be interesting.

Yes i have talk with him thanks, i think i will buy his panel, i went here for talking with some people like you, who know his compagny because in France it is really difficult to find informations about his panel. So thanks you for your opinion it really help me.

[Sorry I've already chopper her. There are some earlier photo's
in the LED COMPANIES thread towards the end./QUOTE]

Ok no problem, i have just see the pics, it looks like really good;)
Do you thinks a 210W panel is ok for cover a surface of 90x90cm (35,4x35,4 inches?)

My last grow i got 6oz from 2 plants (scrog/coco/hempy bucket/6 weeks veg) and that's from a 140w general purpose ratio...
This grow with just 1 plant i got a bit less i think because of PH problems
about i think i have around 4oz, still i'm happy:)

So YES if you're growing without problems you will have no trouble.
You should go easy on the nutrients though as you don't need as much with LED and you'll need a little mag/cal from time to time.

Actually I've never grown in aero so i don't know if nutrients work the same, i guess not?

ps - Richard is building me a small 35w mother panel:)
I hope to buy a 280w panel at the end of the year:)

All the best

Great news Ramix happy to grow with then.

digimidgi i have just one question , if you take another 140w panel you have a 280w panel no ? the 280 w panel is 140w x2 panel assembly and you have one 140w ?

In future for me the 140 w dual spectrum :-o and in next time another 140w for making a 280w panel , the 280w panel is to expansive for me now

The panels have a different shape, The two panels used for the 280 watt model are longer and narrower (33 x 56 instead of 36 x 50cm), so they are closer to being square when put together. If you ask, he will send you the longer one, he has already offered to do so for me. I see he has added several new models on the website. No prices on them yet.
