I also have a large watermelon patch...I love love love them...They might be the most delicious fruit ever!...Nope nope nope..mulberries are the most delicious fruit ever...but I don't have any mulberry trees..I should get some..

Kaendar, I have a question for you...You are black right? Do you worry about your black friends robbing you?

Yes, and no. Around here you have the Mexicans to worry about stealing shit. Most of the ppl around here have lived here their whole lives and wouldnt steal from eachother. But there is always new hispanic families and those kids dont give a fuck.

I have lived in totally white neighborhoods and left my keys in the ignition, and my front door open the whole time I lived in this white place and never got robbed...spent some equal time in a pretty much all black neighborhood and left the keys in the ignition, and the front door open and didn't get robbed til we were in the middle of moving..but I figure that was still great for the area we were in...I'm not big on security. I rely on my faith in my fellow man...and a big scary dog...So far it has treated me well...Not been attacked or had much of anything stolen...Even the people that broke in while we were taking a load of stuff were just kids from a few houses down...but they would all gang together and pick on my oldest son for being white and in the neighborhood...and it always confused us all...because we are a friendly family that will talk to and befriend anyone regardless of color...so to be on the other end of the racist spectrum was strange for sure, but it goes to show that people are wary of anyone that is different...

I mean what kind of teenagers pick on a second grader for his color...my son would never do that to a black kid, spanish kid, asian kid, or any manner of person, but those kids taught my son to be wary of large groups of black people.

i have to grow the sugar baby watermelons because we have such a short season for them. watermelons are such a warm weather crop. i can get the seeds to pop in june or even late may in the greenhouse, but they just sit there with their cotyledons until it heats up. then they get their fruit once the heat wave hits.

the eastern part of the state is already sending us their hermiston melons, i'm abstaining from any watermelon consumption until mine are ready in another month or so here.

in the meantime, i have early corn and late corn that is just about ready, only a few days away. i've already plucked a few ears and they are ready to eat right off the stalk, so fucking good. but they kernels could stand to be a little bigger.

Well, I'm pretty damn lazy, I'm on welfare (disability) and I like watermelon. I cover half that list he must be racist against me as well.... I thought black people took that word back and use it as a friendly thing now... "my nigga". I've heard it might be different but I figured it was out of laziness that it was changed, kinda like how ebonics was started. Im dead serious dude, most of the thefts in my neighborhood are done by mexicans, specifically little wannabe cholos from the St Villains crew and the HOBs.. SS Playboys are also around here to. There is a local truce with the black gangs here, cuz theres a park nearby and the OGs dont want to harm kids. Im not being racist, im surrounded by Mexicans all the time and speak almost fluent spanish.
