how long it takes mother to generate new cuttings

im about to be in full swing with a 3 section grow. a 2x4 up against closet door to kinda make it 2 sections for veg with 400 watt mh and a t5 ballast that holds 4 two ft bulbs 3x3 ebb and flow with 25 gal res. 2 four x four tents one with 2 2x4 tables side by side getting fed with one 25gal res 2 400 watt ballast one hps and one mh the other 4x4 wich is the third stage of grow is a 4x4 table with 50 gal res a dimable 400,600,1000 and 1100 digital ballast and 2 four ft t5s on two sides of tent. i want to do sog so my question is how long after i take clones from mother how soon will she be ready to take more?

Ummm, as soon as she has another branch...You can take clones anytime really. As long as the plant you are taking them from is left with a couple of leaves it will regrow a whole new plant...I am not saying to go hack your plant into a million clones, but if you did it would just grow more branches...

are you sure youre ready for that size of a grow.. with this type of a question

oh im ready for it but never really did a lot of clones and when i did only took some from a plant then flowered her. i also heard that you can only take clones from a plant like 7 or 8 times before they herm out. is that true?

u say that size of a grow? not really that big, hoping to harvest every 30 days and from what people are saying u can yield anywhere from 500 grams to2500 grams in a 4x4. other than strain what will be the biggest factor in getting the most out of it? sorry if any of my questions seem dumb but the only dumb question is one that dont get asked. thanks.

When I use to have mothers and obtain clones I usually didnt take more than 20 from a mother that is at least two months old. And I would let it rest and take another 20 from the other mother when I needed them.

it takes 2 weeks to get enough good cuts. i would sugest using the mother plant nutes for your moms. its a great 2 part feed diet.

No thats bollocks and paranoia induced logic.

Each clone is exactly the same as the mother, and thus won't have any greater, or less, capacity to hermie. More likely to be environment stress if it does hermie.

It all depends on wattage..the brighter it is,the faster the growth and the bigger the plant. I use 400wt metal halide bulbs for my mothers (one plant per bulb) and once they are mature after 6 weeks of topping them to get them bushy..I get about 20 -25 good sized clones every 10 days. There is an art to pruning them and keeping them shapely and even too..you want all the new nodes where the shoots will come out of at an even height..so the mother looks kinda like a hedge when its full of good branches ready to cut. Ive used 600wt for mothers too and its still about every 10 days but the plants are bigger so it is more like 30 cuts each time. Use a decent size pot too if you wanna keep them going for several months,at least 5 gallons. Otherwise they start to stall out and produce feeble and spindly branches after a couple rounds.

I would say to grow your clones to about 6 inches. Then take a clone from them. Put your first clones in to flower.Then veg your fresh clones for awhile then repeat the process. Always taking fresh clones from your vegged clones will keep your cycle going, well, for awhile. Beings you have three areas of growth it would be most awesome. So you could keep a mother of all your favorite strains and clone the clones. I would probably take a fresh clone from mommies every so often. Could get kind of freaky doing to many generations.

You are way off. In a 4x4 you got 4 -5gal pots at best. If you are a good grower you'll get an oz/gal of soil and that's below 500gm. If you're a great grower you can double this. I think your expectations are slightly high.

Klones you need at least 3 nodes above your cut, and you'll get a plant. Lot of other factors to the quality of the new plant.

first off i only leave 2 nodes above cut, and second im doing hydro ebb and flow i guess i didnt put that in original post my bad. i can fit ten plants in bloom in a 4x4. using lights on the sides to reach the places the top light cant. so on sog i can put 4 per sf i think thats what i read. that is 64 clones in flower.

My bad, I believe you are absolutely right. I was thinking soil. And hey man I do ebb n flow 2. Peace
