It was almost exactly 80g dry. It was one of the bigger girls in my 3x3 "clone" table. Was trying to average a zip per plant (16 in total in that table) but with some interruptions during this cycle, I only averaged 20g per plant. SFV OG and Whitefire doesnt do too well from clone was lucky to get a half off some of them lol

With being away from my grow constantly, my AC going out for a day, a bulb exploding, high humidity and the fact most were from clone-flower. I am very pleased with my end result. Ending up with 1200g under 2000kw. only .60 gpw but after all of those terrible circumstances I am a proud gardener. Yield was a little off of my goal (.75gpw) but the quality is superb.

i've never thought of opening up my plants. using the bamboo like you did is interesting. i'm only using a 600 these days so, with reduced penetration, i may experiment. then again, i'm really lazy.

i'm wondering if it would be worth the effort to open up my plants. they are about as branchy as yours. multiple, similar size branches. i typically end up with a plant height of 2.5 to 3 feet.

i have a very crowded tent but that's pretty typical.

i took clones yesterday and am ready to flip them into flower as soon as the mood strikes me.

Thanks a ton guys. I tend to do mostly lst after I top. Those bamboo sticks were there to try and keep my plants as square as possible. Also those whitefire nugs get very dense and heavy so without support they would come crashing down lol if you have a space crunch this type of training works perfectly. I mean that girl finished 3 feet but literally fit perfect in my 3x3 table. It was like a puzzle taking those girls out to water and then moving them right back in lol

I top and lst also. I veg mine a bit longer but remove all lower growth. Its all about evening out the canopy. Some plants like this better than others I got a diesel and a jilly bean aboht to come down and the jilly is flopping all over had to stake her.

i rarely top anymore.

i tried uncle ben's 4 cola method a couple grows ago and it was pretty hit and miss. sometimes 4 similar size colas but 1/2 the time it was two large ones and 2 T rex arm like little ones. he admitted it only worked some of the time.

i've been tying them down since smokinrav made a thread about it way back when.

these days, i only tie the highest part twice, and get 5 or more colas each time. i used to tie them down again and again for some pretty multiple multiple colas but this way is easier and the yeild's the same.

if i can do it the lazy way, i'm going to.


i've been topping or tying them down for so long, when i see a pot plant that grows naturally, it looks odd to me.

i tried scrogging the "West Coast Masters" way and using their graph of how each branch should go etc. Waste of time. More plants grown vertical and lollipop at week 2 of flower IMO. I'm keeping it simply from now on.

I hear ya. Nugs says it adds about 10 days veg time for him so for most growers I would expect 15. I have not done the technique to the T but I have used the fundamentals behind it to refine my pruning techniques in flower in order to maximize yields and reduce larf its also a good way to even the canopy.
