Breaks down to both. Dolomite is a double carbonate composed of Calcium and Magnesium. However some dolomite deposits contain more Calcium Carbonate proportionally than Magnesium.my buddy uses extra dolomite as a top layer to help keep his PH balanced, it also breaks down over time into cal or mg i forget which one, but if you getting PH issues in that soil it is either too hot or hasn't cooked or your nutrients PH are too high or you can have a bacteria imbalance even that can make spikes in PH a lot of things can cause it to be honest the Dolomite is just simple and non very invasive way to effect PH, or so i was led to believe
