Lolly popping outdoors

So i removed some older growth from my plants today and ended up lolly popping half of one of my plants. Im probably gonna finish it in the next couple days (didn't want to remove too much at one time)....good idea? Should i lollipop both? What effect would it have?

I am fan of it..
I still see some suckers on yours I would remove..
lollipoppin in very user specific based on how they like them to look and grow..
I lollipop + supercrop to an extent.. and it's been working for me

honestly i dont see the point outdoors?

the whole reason you lollipop inside is because of light penetration issues. outdoor girlies u just stick em out in the full sun early in the season and let em get big then you will see some huge buds like you have never seen before

I like to get rid of some unproductive undergrowth as we move into flower (particularly if mold is an issue) but, IMO, lollipopping is counterproductive for an outdoor plant. The plants will suck nutrients out of the lower leaves to fuel flowering. Remove a lot of leaves, you remove this fuel source.

If it's popcorn you're worried about, debudding is the way to go. Remove smaller lower buds but leave the leaves in place.

Nice plants bro! But are you saying these are some plants in reveg that you lollipopped? Or that revegged bc you lollipopped? Lol

Yea i actually think it looks a lot cleaner and healthy after i cleared some space. I will eventually take all sucker's off this one plant just taking my time with it don't want to stress her...still debating whether or not to do the other plant, might do a comparison

I thought that too but my canopy is so thick the really small lower branches are getting minimal light and dying off, curling up and everything

Yea im not really removing any fan leaves...from what i understand they provide sugars for bud growth... im just removing the small little buds you get under the main canopy. .thanks Laney...am i doing it right on the pics?

Mine are loving it, I lollipopped one then waited a few days to check. The top buds almost double in just a few days and the ones I didn't lollipop only grew a little bit. Now I have done all of mine that are in flower. I do think it is strain specific though. I have read that some strains don't like it, but mine really do. Also been told it makes bigger and more dense top buds.

Good to hear...imma finish this one tomorrow and if i get good results ill do the other one....bigger denser top buds is what i was aiming for my boy haha perfect... hopefully my master kush reacts well

Thought so....like i was telling gioua the plant looked slight happier when i cleared out some thick underbrush... im barely starting flower and i wanted to make sure airflow was in check

Just make sure you make clones out of the branches you take off.. no need to waste plants.
