What nutes were you using? Will a decent N ratio'd bloom nute cover me?

I was using MG Bloom Booster.

I think the ratio you are going to want is like 1-3-2 or 10-30-20
something like that......I just went with what was cheap and works.

well im going to give them a half tsp of each for the first feeding and increase gradually for flowering as ive only had to feed the plant 3 or 4 times its whole life..

Yeah......my nutes had a 15-30-15 ratio.......the N still wasn't enough.......The plant needs a lot of N in early flowering.....it doesn't really need the high P-K nutes till like the 2nd or 3rd week of flowering ime.

Hey Fresno, just wanted your opinion. I've read/heard numerous times that high nitrogen can prevent plants from going into the flowering period. The last thing I want to do is be giving out faulty info. Have you heard that? Have you ever had that happen to you?

cute plant. and you can start bloom nutes now if you want. if your seeing preflowers. waiting about a week wont hurt either. its up to you.

Start on bloom nutes now, slowly... 1/4 - 1/2 strength increments as directed on the bottle, and work your way up. Good . . luck

I have never heard that.....maybe once......But I have been using a 30-10-10 formula and my plants have been popping buds up like crazy. If you use it too far into flowering then it may inhibit bud growth. I don't think it prevents your plants from flowering....I think people use high P-K nutes when barely starting flower just to speed up the process......I'm in no hurry though.

Heard that and here is why (supposedly). High nitrogen in nature is available at its highest as Spring warms the ground. Lightning also fixes N in soil. Those are facts. The supposition is feeding N late in the veg cycle signals the plant that optimum vegetation may still be possible and the plant then resumes growth instead of on flowering. I'm no botanist but do wonder. I know my own plants never like N just as flowering starts. Tons of tip curl the time I mixed up the feedings. Twisting of leaves etc. Not fatal or damaging but irksome.

I believe it is strain dependent.........Because my Lemon Kush have been sucking up Nitrogen faster than I can give it......I have been having to do back to back feedings on some just to keep the leaves rich green.

haha i have a purple kush that got munched in half by a slug early in the season, well pretty early.. so i put it aside in this little dirt pile, it grew two tops where it got aten. and i placed it in a big hole with sunshine mix 4. its light green as fuck so i nuted it today with a half tsp or so of each gh floramicro, gro, bloom, and floralicious bloom. see how they react.. i will upload pics tmrw probably

I had a small problem with slugs at the start of my grow this year.A few things you can do stop them is..

1. Take some clean egg shells (6 to 12) and brake them up (not to fine) and spread them out under your plant *slugs don't like the sharp edges* PLUS they will give your plant some calcium.

2. A bit of copper wire around the base of your plant. Its like an electric fence for slugs. *This is what I did and have not had even one slug back on my plants* >>WARNING Do NOT wrap the wire around your stem.Let it sit on the ground loose in a ring.Going around the stem 4-5 times is best<<
