Ocho2's third Grow! Sensi Star, Exodus Kush, Bubblegummer, and Pure AK! 400Watt HPS!

Welcome everyone, including the many friends I have made during my last grow journal. My name is Ocho2, and I bring to you my largest and most varied grow ever . Though I have only had a few grows, everything has came out excellent and the final product has been quite superb.

My last grow I grew three White Widow Big Bud, from FemaleSeeds through the Attitude Seedbank. Though a small pH and calmag issue occurred, thanks to the help of all the advice I was given everything was corrected and the girls made it to the end . Now I will proceed to post a few pictures, and list the grow details and strains. For everyone viewing right now, I started germination one hour ago. It won't be much for the next few days, but I promise it will be an awesome journey I hope you will sub and follow me on.

Also, everyone returning..it's great to hear from you all again. I have waited a long 5 weeks since harvest to start up again, and that day is finally here .

Grow Room: My closet. Four foot long, and two feet wide. Should be interesting, as three plants took up most of the room last time.
Lighting: The same light from my last grow. 400 Watt HPS with adjustable electronic ballast. Adjusts to 100 Watts, 250 Watts, and the full 400 Watts.
Medium: General Hydroponics Cocotek Block. Same medium I used last grow .
Containers: Four five-gallon buckets, one for each plant.
Strains: Paradise Seeds Sensi Star x1, DNA Genetics Exodus Kush x1, and both FemaleSeeds Bubblegummer x1 and Pure AK x1.
Fan: Same small honeywell fan from my last grow. I have yet to pick up a fan and tubing to pull the heat out from the light, but hopefully before bloom I will have them .
Nutrients: Hydro 7-9-5 Solution, MagicCal Calmag, as well as the needed pH testing and adjusting kit.

I started germination last night at 9:00pm. I went with the wet paper towel method again.

After a night in the dark closet, no tails have popped yet. The same thing happened when they were in the dark last garden, but once I covered them all with another plate so no light shined them and powered the light to 150 watts to give them warmth tails emerged within 12 hours to 36 hours.

I did so again, the light is on giving the seeds a bit of warmth and they all have extra plates covering them. You can really tell how hydrated the seeds have become by observing their appearance since they were started.

Hopefully I will have more updates later. I am heading out to the hydro store to pick up two cocotek blocks.

Question for readers: I am going to presoak the cocotek with proper ph water and calmag. Any idea on the amount of calmag I should presoak with? 1/4 to 1/2 tsp?

Still no sign of tails popping yet.

Headed to the hydro store and grabbed two coco bricks along with another five gallon bucket. Funny how every time I take a picture of the Coco, the cat is in it as well xD.

Not cocotek bricks though. They are Jiffy brand.

Plan is to add 1/4 strength of nutrients and calmag per gallon, along with a pH adjustment, presoak, drain, and then once more before putting into the pots. Make sure any salt is out that way.

Question is do I start presoaking now or wait until the tails pop out. What do you all think ?

Exodus Kush has popped a tail, and had been planted in the presoaked coco .

The other seed is just cracking and its the bubblegummer . Not planted but her bucket is ready for her :3.

one thing. for the walls it could be better to use opaque black/white foil ( plastic ). I read alot that the alum foil can hurt the leaves.

Well I actually no longer have the foil. It's currently just the white wall and I plan to keep it like that. I think when I had foil it just looked bad anyways xD.

I am so pumped.

This morning at 2am, while super grinding minecraft, Exodus kush was planted.

I also filled bubblegummers bucket with coco. Now at 1pm, bubblegummer has been planted with her tail out :3...but that's not all...

Sensi Star and Pure AK have cracked open, and its only a matter of hours before they are planted .

Sensi star and Pure AK sprouted their tails and are planted. Crazy how all seeds popped a tail within three hours of eachother. Took 1.5 days .

Welcome aboard everyone, and now the garden begins .

I can see exodus kush pushing the coco above her upwards, and in a small crack I can see the seedlings stem . Matter of hours she'll be above and hopefully bubblegummer as well. Bubblegummer and Exodus kush were planted three hours apart, and sensi star and pure ak were planted at the same time.

Really excited. Especially to be able to see the difference in plants, as this is my first grow with all different strains. Hell, it's my biggest grow yet

One issue may be space. Last grow when I fim'ed the three wwxbb the entire closet was full. Maybe a FIM isn't suitable this grow..but we'll have to wait and see .

I will return with a photo update once these girls break the earth ;D.

Well here are the girls:3. Sensi star and pure ak are just opening up to the light. The tallesr and furthest along is exodus Kush, and the short open girl is Bubblegummer
