Just to clarify, HO T5s (with aquarium bulbs available in led spectrums) are comparable PAR-wise to IndaGro, but they are more flexible in that Indicas prefer more red and Sats more blue: simply replace a few bulbs. Also, during late flower, mj benefits from more 660 (but NOT during veg).

How much benefit HO T5s flexibility would mean may never be tested (someone want to donate a 420?), but at < half the price, comparable (and quite possibly even better) results are available.

At Grandpa age, the longevity of the IndaGro bulb is irrelevant

To dispel another exaggeration, perhaps someone could do an electrical cost comparison between an 8 bulb (4ft) HO T5 and IndaGro type lights

Not doing aquaponics myself but this one tray is running the latest generation OG hood that runs a 600 watt vertical metal halide lamp and the Pro-420-PAR is running next to it. I had to look twice at the Inda-Gro cuz it looked like it was ducted but it's only the duct off the OG that is draped over the IG I was seeing. whew

whats not to like? less expensive to set up and run plus you get ten years. If I were a grandpa I'd buy one just to assure myself another 10 years.

Hey y'all
this shit is funny to read. You all have good points even BRother j. I have used t5s and 1000w hps(6 in my flower room) for several years and like I said in my first post I will use nothing but indagro 420s now that I have seen the light. But I would be vey careful buying a light from china. Think about it bro,it's probably some little kid making the light you want to buy in some fucking sweat shop. Do you want to support that? That being said and I hate to bring this up but the bulbs that indagro uses are from china I believe but anyways in my experience you get what you pay for when buying lights and in these days and times I would rather give my money to people that live in the USA.

My Final thoughts for the night
indagro lights are the shit and I don't mind paying for something that pays for itself on its first run and gonna be around for a long time to come. To me that's a good deal so I'm tired of hearing people say that they are to much $ or unproven. They are proven as spliff ,myself and a few others have the pics that show big ,dense and frosty buds and my plants have never been heathier do to this light. Thnk about all the people that use these lights that don't post stuff on the Internet They are probably too busy growing dank ass meds than arguing on some forum. I might catch some shit for this but as far as all the questions about the indagro lights nut up and buy one and try it for your self like I did. They preform like advertised. They are the shit. Peace out fellow indies
P.S brother j you spend that $189.00 on a tattoo of the indagro logo and take a picture and send it to darryl he might give you a free 420. I wouldn't bet on it but it's a safer bet than buying that light from china. Haha whatever I'm just kidding I'm just real bored tonight and thought I would stir the pot
This is so True my first grow is great. I have two 420's one old and one new. One is longer and the other is shorter the newer version design for better shipping to the customer. I don't have to purchase more AC just keep it at 74 and the room gets to 78 at night with the two lights on and the grow box 2x4x8 just Home Depot planet bulbs for cloning and veg. I have three shelves. Lower is for clones out of the middle shelf domes and up to the top shelf for there veg stage. Yes a lot of growers are buying and loving the power savings with my KW at .89 and fixed. I would never fire up high heat lamps and deal with all that heat. I had many coral fish tanks with the 3 MH with in and out fans for years and had to have a chiller to keep the 200 gallon tank from boiling the water. Thanks to the guys at Inda-Gro for taking the time and money to make a custom bulb for all of us to enjoy. They are not the same lamp you can order from China. ONE lamp does it all like a work horse.

No worries. I can share this with you Inda-Gro 420 on the top shelf vs T5 on the bottom shelf.

Blue Sugar (Blue Dream & Sugar Kush) run

Top Shelf (Inda-Gro 420) Rooted in 8 days showed white roots and thicker ready for transplant in 14 days with tighter internodal spacing and darker fuller leaves. I had to remove the humidity dome on the Inda-Gro babies as they outgrew it.

Lower shelf (T5) Rooted in 11 days ready for transplant in 21 days.

It sure looks like the top (Inda-Grow) plants are doing better that the bottom (T5) plants, I can definitely see more green/leaves in the top domes, If the only difference between the two shelves is the lighting then I would say that's a clear comparison that Ida-Grow works better, at least for veg anyway. As soon as I can afford it I'm nabbin one, better start saving my milk money now.

hey everyone -=o)

sorry for the break but i'm still here! i need to finish sorting the girls in veg and gotta put a couple more gallons on the Blue Dream that's outside... then i can go shoot a fresh vid to post.

the girls are getting big in there, and my 3rd 420 will be here on wednesday, hopefully! i think i might just run all 3 in the tent for bloom. otherwise, veg is gonna get a solid kick in the pants, with a 420 sitting between 2 200s.

well, i gotta run now... i feel like the white rabbit in alice in wonderland... late for a very important date... lol... ttfn everyone!

... so my new phone is frustrating me as i am trying to use it's camcorder for the first time since getting it... i don't really have the time this evening to try to understand it's quirks so i settled for just taking some pics with it, and i'll tackle the video tomorrow. i also need to take some pics of the BD in the back yard as i am starting her up on the flower initiator tomorrow and will be starting a thread for her and this nifty red light.

but for now...

the Mendo Purp (day 45):

and the Oregon Licorice (day 32):

here's a sneak peak of the Blue Dream... she sprouted from seed on 4-17 and has been topped 3 times, each time taking her down about 12 inches; as she sits in that pot, her tops are just past the 6 foot mark. she started under a Pro-200-PAR and then was in the tent when it was all veg, under the 2 200s and the 2 420s. she took right to the sun when i brought her outside, and has been trucking along ever since, about a month and a half if memory serves... she's presently taking down 15 gallons per week...

Just spent a few days in the beautiful city of Portland. It was nice to check out a new club and get some seeds without having to order online. Grabbed a pac of Time wreck for the near future.

Spliff,
nice update on the ladies. What's up with the cannatonic?looks like it has a way to go. How many weeks do you let it go? That BD looks awesome bro. I wish I had a place to grow outdoors this year anyways I will try to post a few pics of my plushberry and 3d that are at 14 days into flower. Peace out fellow growers

Psuagro,
That's sucks that you don't have much space, but at least your working with what you got. How big is your space?or should I say how small?
A little under a 4x4x6 can't really use all that space entirely due to shelving and shit.............your girls look good btw

Sativa ; Too Funny! Never argue with your grandpa! I like that video as it does show the behind the scenes stuff you normally don't get to see. Especially in American manufacturing. Thanks for posting it.

Hyroot; not bitter just had a fucked up day dealing with the ex. This is a bitch I used to worship. Any hew I'll get over it. Time heals all wounds right?

Spliff:have you seen the remote drivers they're building for some kind of rack/trellis system they're doing in Europe? I don't need it but it's cool to know it can be done. Whadya think?

hey man -=o)

ya, the cannatonic is a notorious slow girl, and this is my first time with her. on the breeder's site (http://resinseeds.net/Cannatonic,en.html), they call out a 10 week bloom. my CT girl took the better part of 3 weeks to flip into full bloom, but based on what i know of plant physiology, she perceived that she was initially shorter than the Mendo Purp next to her and so rather than going bud in the "shadows" of a taller plant decided to outgrow the competition (and yes, she is now taller than the MP) and then have a better opportunity to bloom after vegging herself taller. those interested in further on this topic can google "shade avoidance syndrome". none the less, i logged her first day of full floral crown and will refer back to that to help dial in her ripeness. as it sits now, i consider her 2 weeks behind timetable.

the Blue Dream is actually my very first outdoor plant... well, her and the 3 tomatoes that i have going too. i'll take a pic tomorrow to show you all what my special blend did to these "gold nugget" cherry tomatoes... they are HUGE for cherries...

also, i will tidy up in veg a bit (cleaning cloners, and building a new one) and take some pics to put up of that room later, or perhaps tomorrow. well, ima get running for now, but i'l stop back by later. i still want to get a new video up tonight... hopefully things will pan out so i can.

:peace:
