It was all about the PvP for me, I was always lazy when it came to quests and only did the nessecary ones I needed for items and to get to certain zones and hated to grind but that's an essential part of it, worth it for the PvP.

Did you play the classic one or are you talking about the 2nd one?

I played it from 00-05, had a 65sk and he was one bad ass mother fucker, had all the plane gear, I was 1337 lol.
EQ wasn't the best for PvP but I could throw down in the arena.

Played another small MMORPG that recently got shut down but the admins sucked at running a 3d game, was called Crowns of Power, doubt anyone has played or even heard of it, max players peak was like 3-400ish? It was pathetic, not because of the concept itself but because the admins were greedy money sucking Jews, the PvP was one of the best I've tried. It had open ground and the wide range of space me it more of a hide and seek type game, and it wasn't hard to get gear either so nobody really had excuses other than the bugs and runtimes, along with glitchers lol.

A little ashamed to admit this but again, played for the PvP and because it was free to start, Dungeons and Dragons Online (I'm not a nerd I promise, please don't beat me up lol). That game was pretty neat, had an arena pit and most players must hoged it standing around and got so pissed when you go down there and blast them out lol, people had to much respect in that game. I say fuck that, gtfo the pit if you don't wanna fight.

Actually, I was more talking about MMORPGs in general, never played Runescape before lol. If it has good PvP then I'll play it hardcore.

I wonder if everquest is free to play now? All the old MMO's are free nowadays, Dark age of camelot and D&D online are free now. I'll have to go check.
