Not a steak guy, chewing it up is a lot of effort, and I just don't care for the taste. Prime rib is the exception, juicy and pink and tender, with lots of flavor.

Not too big on the chain restaurants, mom and pop or local ones seem to have better quality food. But Spaghetti Factory is decent and cheap, Olive Garden a little pricier, but higher quality food. But we have a few high class local Italian places that are quite good.

We eat sushi a lot, and almost all are local, not chains. The one we go to mostly has half price on all rolls all the time....so a fifteen dollar roll is only 7.50. And hot sake is great, unless it's hot.

Don't eat lobster too often because of the price, but love it. Red Lobster is ok, but everything is overpriced. There is a local Lonster house which kicks ass, it's pricey but worth it when we have the extra money.

Love Mexican food, but all the El Toritos around here went out of business, and Chevys went through an ownership change and kind of sucks now

Hamburgers, Smashburger is excellent but only serve beer, Red Robin is decent and they serve alcohol. We tend to spend a lot of money on liquor at restaurants, nothing like a well made Mai Tai, Long Island or other drink.

Actually, it's the state level.

And that's what the U.S. Constitution set forth.

You got a problem with that? :-|

So the local government in Austin prohibits restaurants feeding the homeless. That's a local issue.

What's your solution?

FEDERAL intervention? What makes you think the Federales would do ANYTHING different?

:fire:
trolled the shit out of you.

so much for leaving decisions to the most local level possible always being the best idea.

#2 place for food here in portland is the food carts, nationally renowned. whatever type of food you desire, you will find it there. and it will all be delicious.

If you like food carts you should vote Ron Paul.
Ron Paul supports your right to open your own food cart without interference.

Back on track: there's a local mexican place, not at all pretentious, but they make the best danged cheese enchiladas I've had in the state. With proper frijoles refritos. cn
