42days in, how long left?

heres my 2 ak48 ladys which are maturing the quickest

first 2 pics is plant 1 and 3rd pic is plant 2

you can tell by the pics that plant one is maturing faster than plant 2

any ideas how long to go? should i start flushing now?

grow with 250w for 2 months (one month veg one month flower) since then iv added more cfls total now 625w mix of blue and red spectrum.

any advice/opinions would be great

oh and is it ok for me to pinch one of the lil buds of the bottom branches even tho the hairs r still kinda white? just for a test sample?

Wow man, those plants look horrible. And by horrible I mean totally awesome!

Sorry but I am in the same boat. So I have no good advice, but, I have heard multiple times in the past that it is okay to take a little piece of to sample. I read (along time ago) that some people sample about 2 weeks before harvesting every couple days to get their desired effect... Only one problem I see in that is that your buds can fatten in the last several weeks. :peace:

thanks man, yeh i think im gonna take a sample bud 2nite on the 1st plant coz the hairs are almost all brownish.

you think they fatten up even more in the next 2 odd weeks?

they could go another two weeks, i'd start flushing soon. Ideally they're supposed to finish up in 48 days right? unless that is just the ak47.

iv chopped a wee nug off about an hour ago, got it sittin on the radiator in a plastic tub just 2 quick dry it, should be a nice fat joint, shud i let it crisp dry or not too dry as its sitting on the radiator?

i think the plant that iv taken this sample from is almost done, some of the pistils on the top cola are kinda withering, and all mostly orange with a few white hairs.

ordered a 10x eye loupe magnifyer thingee today so should have that 2morrow or day after

i just fed them today aswell the 2 plants which look the maturest got 2ml a litre of organic bloom nute and the other 2 got 3ml per litre

im gonna start using plain water for the next watering and the following watering then harvest

is that ok, 2 plain waterings? over the course of say 10-12 days as usually i water every 5-6 days

damn man good luck with that, I would have at least gotten a 30x.. If 75% of your pistils are turning brown I'd say your probably good to go too start flushing.. just plain (ph'd if your that precise I'm not) water for the last week-2 weeks. I like to give it a good flush out.. 1-2x the water the container would hold if their was nothing in it if your using non organic ferts, one or two times before harvest.. some don't recommend it but if you have never flushed like I don't during a grow there is some nute build up..

shit i read here that 10x would be enough? oh well only a few bucks lol, am i talking shite here or is it sumtimes possible to see amber trichs jus from human eye? im not sure if thats what i see when i look close i swear i can see amber trichs, but it could just be me as i doubt that is even possible lol

yeh im using organic ferts so im going to start flushing as of next watering as i just fed them there last bit of food ever haha

I wouldnt recommend you take a sample from the bottom. those are the last part of the plant to mature. The top always matures faster than the bottoms. when the bottoms have the pearly white milky trichomes is when you harvest.
and the plant will get huge in the last couple weeks of flowering. Ive never even heard of a plant that is ready before 54 days.

sample i took was middle branch id say kinda near the top, good 60-70% hairs are orange on the bud and frosty as feck

i agree the plants are still 2 weeks away from harvest, im hoping they will really fatten up nicely in the last 14 days

Aeroponic will get you there, infact 45 days is possible (Green Crack, etc).

Have read about the harvest window for Sativas that open and close, and I am at the present time witnessing it.
Sour Diesel which is known to take forever 75+, I have LOWER buds 50% red pists and the cola white as the driven snow.

EveryDay, what strain and medium? If you have stated I apologise, JAH's early blessing has me dunced.
